I can’t believe this Fu#*ing गोर्खा जनमुक्ति मोर्चा has banned to use cell phone, motorbike, liquor, even forcing people to wear ‘Daura Suruwal’ Damn!!! What's wrong with these people? Do they really think they can achieve their goal by doing these stupid things??? if so, What’ the different between them and terrorist Taliban? What we gonna do if 'Madise' bans liquror in Terai, force you to eat 'Satu' (Chana flour), no motorbike, and forces us to wear 'Dhoti and Kurta'? will you tolerate??

One thing that impresses me most  is the love of culture of these people around Darjeling and Dooars. By this I don't support the wearing of Daura Suruwal while going to Disco. Cell phones, motorbikes, alcohol, cigarettes etc. are just a way to spread propaganda about  the movement and impress some more people with an apparent social reform. But such things are do not persist long...we have seen that by Nepali maoists who, at one time, completely stopped the supply of alcohol in most of Nepal.

I think you got it wrong. Driving motorcycle while talking in the cellphone may have been banned.  I think this law is acceptable.  Even here in the US, you will get a ticket if a cop catches you talking in the cell phone while driving. As for being forced to wear Daura Suruwal and cholo fariyaa, that was true only for one month during Dashain Tihaar.  Not that I agree with government mandating what I should wear, but this act was one of the measures taken as part of aandolan against West Bengal Government. They were not asking people to kill or riot.  They were just asking people to assert their Nepali heritage, be proud of who they are and show it.  They were simply asking the residents to assert their culture as a stand against oppression from Calcutta. These would hardly make them comparable to Taliban. My 2 cents.
