There is a popular saying in USA:  If you loose case against a doctor, you won't get anything. If you win a case, your lawyer gets everything!  Good Luck!

In Which States?. I know one in downtown DC, Attorney Seema Chettry, but her law firm is really big and  her firm charges a lot..just the consultation fee is $225/hr. If you are missing any body parts, and you are in the right States, she is the one..Go for it.  Good luck.  Last edited: 08-Oct-09 06:32 PM

If you are in a big city, there should be plenty of civil attorneys specialized in medical malpractice laws.  Look up the yellow pages.  These days, it is not too easy to sue doctors.  Many (probably all?) states requires the cases to be heard preliminarily by some "board" composed of members who are doctors themselves.  That board full of medical doctors has to approve your case before a court is willing to hear it.  You may wonder why this group of doctors should be willing to go against their fellow doctors.  In fact, they have sent cases to court, but they are also good at weeding out cases which are not worth the court’s time.  Courts do not want to waste their time on what they call "frivolous" lawsuits.  I hope you have a strong case.  Medical malpractice lawsuits, like any civil lawsuits, are based upon contingency fee that means, you pay only when you win the case.  Normal share of your attorney will be like 40% of recovery.  You keep 60%.   There will not be hourly consulting fee.  If anyone asks for it, stay away from them.  Because, fee is contingency based, your lawyers will make doubly SURE that they will WIN the case before they accept and spend their time on it.  You should consult several of them. Consulting should not cost anything for this kind of cases. good luck.

Hi Guys, Thank you so much for good information and time. I want to make this case more effective before filing lawsuit. So do you guys know how i can request to investigate local City/FBI or any other agency about this problems?

CHANTY399 · Oct 8, 2009 9:34 PM

Chanty399 buddy, as per "Statute of Limitation", you have limited time to file a case in the court. Failure to do so will automatically void your case . If you just keep on fooling around in Sajha, you are very likely to lose your case evern before it goes to the court. If you are serious about your intentions then flip yellow pages and find a lawyer as madhesi suggested. They will tell you what to do and where to report. By the way FBI has nothing to do with your case.

Yes, there is statue of limitation for this kind of cases that normally varies from 6 months to 4 years .  Most cases 1 year.  Consult a lawyer.  There are several free legal forums in the web where you can put your actual case and actual lwyyer will respond to your problems.  Try out there.  This is not a police case! http://www.expertlaw.com/forum... http://forum.freeadvice.com/me... http://www.legalserviceonline.... http://forum.freeadvice.com/me... There are plenty of info out there.. Google them out..   http://www.medicalmalpractice.... Last edited: 09-Oct-09 06:12 AM
