Filed under: Citizen (Participatory) Journalism — admin @ 2:54 am नवराज न्यौपाने राजधानीबाहिर महिलामाथि हुने गरेको हिंसाको डलरवादी संस्थाले वकालत गर्ने गरेको भएपनि राजधानी मै भएको एउटा क्रुर अमानवीय महिला हिंसाको समाचार चार दिनसम्म पनि बाहिर आउन सकेको छैन। मिति जेठ ६ गते। समय राति नौ बजेको थियो। मानिसहरुको चहलपहल विस्तारै कम हुँदै थियो। सिंगो राजधानीको सुरक्षाको जिम्मा लिएर बसेको महानगरीय प्रहरी आयुक्तको कार्यालयको ठीक सामुन्ने एक महिलालाई निर्ममतापूर्वक लाठी नै लाठीले कुटियो। त्यति मात्र हो र, उनले लगाएको लुगा च्यातचुत पारियो। अनि नाङ्गो पारेर रत्‍नपार्क वरिपरि घुमाइयो। अत्यन्तै पाशविक उक्त काण्डमा को-को सहभागी थिए भन्ने खुल्न सकेको छैन। तर प्रकृति हेर्दा कुनै विकट जिल्लामा महिलामाथि भएका हिंसाभन्दा कयौँ गुणा पीडादायी थियो। झण्डै पाँच दर्जन युवाहरुको हुल एउटी अबला महिलामाथि जाई लाग्दै थिए। अन्दाजी ३५ वर्षकी जस्ती देखिने एक महिलालाई रत्नपार्कमा भेला भएका युवाहरुले पहिले कुटपीट गरी यातना दिएपछि कपडा च्यातेर निर्वस्त्र बनाए अनि वरपर घुमाए। शुरुमा लठ्ठीसहितका युवाहरुले चरित्रहीन भएको आरोप लगाउँदै ती महिलालाई खुट्टा, पाखुरा, जीउ र टाउकोमा प्रहार गरे। अनि उनको बाहिरी र भित्री दुवै कपडाहरु खोलेर कुटपीट गरे। उनका संवेदनशील अंगहरुमा समेत लाठीले हिर्काइयो । महिला चिच्याउँदै थिइन्, कराउँदै थिइन्। ‘बचाऊ बचाऊ’ ‘मलाई मारे’ भन्दै उनको चित्कारले रत्नपार्क पूरै गुन्जियो। तर जम्माजम्मी ५० मिटरको दूरीमा रहेको सिंगो उपत्यकाको शान्ति सुरक्षा र जनताको जीउ धनको जिम्मेवारी पाएको प्रहरी आयुक्तको कार्यालय बेखबर रह्यो। भीडले गरेको उक्त कार्यलाई रोक्ने साहस कसैले गरेन। कोही आएको भए ऊ पनि मतियारका रुपमा चुटिने डर हुन्थ्यो। झण्डै आधा घण्टासम्म ३० सेकेण्डको दूरीमा रहेको प्रहरी आउन सकेन। प्रहरी आउँदासम्म ती महिलामाथि कुटपीट र यातना जारी थियो। प्रहरी आइपुग्दा उनलाई सहर घुमाउने भन्दै भक्तपुर बसपार्क अगाडिसम्म ल्याइपुर्‍याई सकिएको थियो। प्रहरीकै सामुन्ने नाङ्गै भएकी ती युवतीलाई यातना दिनेलाई प्रहरीले पनि पक्राउ गरेन। ती परिचय नखुलेकी महिलामाथि भएको चरम यातनाको अहिलेसम्म कतै रिपोर्ट वा उजुरीको परेको खबर छैन। उनले सामाजिक त्रासले कतै रिपोर्ट नहालेको हुनसक्ने आशंका गरिएको छ।

idiots for all bthose who support the cause of violence to settle the issue, it will only bring in another culture. I am against the Vepee ignoring the law of land, but strongly against all those intimidation, threats and violence against him. Now regarding the violence in Nepal, it is just brewing and any opportunity it will just blast. The society is mobguided and our ploiticians have added teeth to it by giving them political patronage. It will take long for the bad culture to be taken away, may be few generations to come, that too if we realize and act in a humane way to begin with now.

raju and kaley, wake up and smell the coffee - there is no New Nepal but there is a Nepal run by corrupted and uneducated politicians. this is the very reason why we have 109 armed groups, riots on daily basis, dhotis shwoing off. kaley-how many times the govt. have held talks with them and how many times SC has asked that dhoti chor to retake OATH? also, violence has become a major method to send the message across nowadays. Nepal is slowly turning into Bihar.

And wish all those cowards  responsible government authorities of the Metropolitan police have to su*k the politicians infront of their wives and  kids......
