Don't make it like a Noble prize saying very special gold medal . haaaaaaaaa` !!  Reporter , don't think all Nepalese are stupid write the fact ,or don't write anything if you don't know it . There are many  Nepalese awardees each year like this.

I do not have any word to say you, NRN. I think it is always good to have some recongnition on the work you are doing. It is not that easy to get recognized from a community, no matter which field you are in. If you look only on the money, I am sure this guy won few other awards which worth good money. You are right, it is not a Super Class award, however, not everyone receive this type of award during their graduate life. I appreciate his hard working and success because he is from Nepal.

NRN dude, you post the news, I am always there to congratulate fellow Nepali. There is no harm to encourage people. Show me the links I will post all. Based on your earlier posting, I hope you are in the field of material science so you are more familiar to all other awards which recognize research excellence in the field or if you know, let me know the awards from all other fields.  I will post on sajha immidiately.

We should encourage posting of achievements by Nepali students in public forum like this. You first post indicates that you know many such cases. Write it!

NRN i dont know much about this award but i think it takes smart people like khanal to get this award. Another thing, getting into tier one school  like Rice university itself is an achivement. How many people reading this comment go to tier one college???
