Help needed for F2 status

Hi guys, My wife is in F2 status. She got one offer for unpaid internship. We thought this would be good option to gain some experience. I was wondering if F2 status are eligible for unpaid internship. ANY suggestions? anybody has been such situations? Help appreciated. Thanks.
