In a recent radio show organized by BBC Nepali Sewa, transmitted today (May 17, 2009), Dr. Babu Ram Bhattrai sait he "has a dream of making Nepal atleast like USA or Europe in next 15/ 20 years.". Shouldn't we work to fulfil his dream? But do we trust his words anymore? BTW, there is speculation that LTTE's Chairman, Prabhakaran has committed suicide. They are trying to confirm his body doing DNA testing.

I have a dream too - of this Dr. Death, his ugly wife and their boss all swining from their necks with Prabhakaran and Saddam Husseing waiting to escort them to hell. Except, it won't be long before this becomes a reality and they will hang, separately or together is irrelevant.

You guys are pathetic! Despite all his wrongdoings, at least give the guys some benefit of doubt. Do you guys even analyze whether he tried during his Finance Ministership or not? When you put everyone in the same bag, regardless of whether he is trying or not, you are doing an even bigger crime. Its because of people like you that even guys who are honest and want to make some change in the country feel discouraged and frustrated.

HowardRoark - it's all right to come up with a statement like "Despite all his wrongdoings.." You got that one right. Now tell us how much money are the Maoist terrorists paying you to post outside mysansar? Be gone back to your kind.
Peter Bagdas · May 17, 2009 1:02 PM
Baburam and his ideas are bad but given the other options Nepal has, he proved himself to be the best finance minister so far Nepal had. He is still the bad apple among worse apples in Nepal. Baburam's ideas are conflicting, his past is questionable, and his party is shady but unfortunately even with all those backdraws he is still the best person who can get things done in NEPAL. Most people bash Baburam as if their guy is going to make a difference. Lets not kid ourselves with Baburam's alternatives, who care curropt and deshdrohi. And people who advocate for those deshdrohi's are nothing but waiting for resources of nepal to trickle down to their own pockets. Leaders who follow such sentiments and people who advocate those ideas has made us Indian slaves. I do not agree with Maoism but i would not run away from saying that Baburam had been the best finance minister Nepal has ever seen in its History regardless of his past. Baburam is not the most righteous person but there is not another finance minister in Nepal who is as competent as he is at his job.

HowardRoark, I definately do agree on your statement: "When you put everyone in the same bag, regardless of whether he is trying or not, you are doing an even bigger crime." We do have to judge people on individual basis.

How the hell are people claiming him the best finance minister?????? Do you guys even know how he collected revenue and where is that revenue going? Did you ever hear why he collected that revenue...thats just to provide more fundings for terrorism and his YCLs and PLAs. Ok, please provide me some proof of why this bastard terrorist is the best finance minister? I consider this guy as the worst finance minister (I don wanna talk about his wife..the most corrupted minister ever). Whoever claims this guy as the best, he/she must have been paid by maoists (and of course, paid by the revenue collected as a "tax" from some hard working Nepalses). Only maoists bharaute and terrorists like his act..nobody else..Period.
pyaari kt · May 17, 2009 2:10 PM
Let me make this easier for people who think he was not the best bad apple among all the rotten apples Nepal has. Go ahead and name one finance minister that was better than Baburam. And if you are able to name one, according to your therory, you must by paid by that Desh Drohi...lol Peace !!!

But please don't tell us that terrorism is a relative term and that there are good and bad terrorists. Terrorists are just that -bad. And they deserve liquidiation. And they can look forward to the LTTE's fate.

Peter, If you are just offered a plate full of terrorists to do a certain job then you would pick the best terrorist fitted for the job. Given the list of terrorists including Desh Dhrohi Girija (Hijacking planes, robbing banks, selling countries' resources to India for the sake of his post, and caring least about the people of nepal creating them an enviroment to join backward ideas like Maoism, and working with Army to kill innocent village people in the name of killing Maoists), UML who started their party with the idea of none other than Maos, who killed people, looted the country's resources, and flayed fake dream or equality and communism to innocent people of nepal, or Kamal Thanpa backed by Inbred Royals who were actively killing nepali people for generation....the list goes on and on. There is no such thing as good terrorists, but there is always a hierarchy of worse people. I am not willing to defend any of those terrorists on the list. But if i am forced to pick one of them from the list of terrorist, baburam would be the one i would pick over Girija, Kamal Thapa, or Makune, Ram Sarah Mahat, Pradeep Nepal, cant think of others right now. I know you are trying to come to a conclusion with the information you have in your head and i am coming to the conclusion with the information i have in my head. Sid

Gaine, Thanks for the Video that is almost three weeks old. Thanks again for your generosity. I do not think very highly of Prachanda. He is just good manager. He is as diplomatic as a corporate manager and he is there to manage Maoist party. But here is my opinion about the video. If Prachanda was really meaning what he was saying in the video then that would make him a worst leader of all time in my list. But if he was saying those things to pursue Maoists Militia who wanted to continue the revolution and did not believe in elections to come down to elections, then i would think that Prachanda's cunningness worked one more time for his succcess. If that was the purpose of those the words he picked on this video he would mean a smart president one more time. But chances for that is probably very slim. I would compare that to Bush's way of calling " Weapon of Mass Destruction" WAR when the war was really about establishing american dominance in the middle east. Please start singing the song on your own tune Gaine than you rant someone over's tune. Peace !!!

I have not heard much about Bhagwan Koirala but many people are calling him a good person so that chances are he is a good person. If Baburam is firing a good person for political advantage or just to get his folk in the job then it makes him a bad person. Dr. Bhattarai is the best FM for the following reasons: 1) He had targeted 8% growth rate and $5000 per capita income in 3-4yrs time. But he reached that target in a year. 2)He said nepal would be switzerland once they are in power. Now look, switzerland is trying to be like nepal. 3) Had a huge travelling budget. Overspent triple the amount. 4) travelled many countries (i can't count how many). Even travelled to japan without invitation. 5) Knows how to generate tax. (Don't care if students miss their SLC, I need money for the guns.) 6) A great preacher of social service. (had implemented YCL to bash up government officers if they did any wrongdoing. may be he too bashed some ) 7) a TRUE FM (always had something to say about other politicians). 8)Fair n equal (Kathmandu and Gorkha got 4 times the money than others. but i don't know who took it.) Guys help me to list them. I am tired.....

Nirvana, Its not about falling into their propoganda. Its about being able to observe the facts. To me there is no difference between Girija, Baburam, Kamal Thapa, KG, or Upendra Mahato. They all have been involved with murdering people one way or the other. But if we were to weigh all those characters with the same benchmark, Baburam outweighs all of the others, possesing the common factor of (murders) with those leaders at least Baburam has proved himself to be the best among the worst. Thats all I am saying. If we are forced to pick one leader among the list of murderers then Baburam would be my pick. I dont now where they will spend the money but i am just glad that the money is with the government right now. Also, the money that is going to the cantonment was going to be gone regardless of what Baburam collected. If it was not collected through the tax it would have been begged somewhere. People are angry at Baburam because he has threatned to take actions on those who do not want to pay the legal tax. My say is pay the freakin tax. Imagine US running without people paying taxes. Sid

He had one more dream last night..... Parties paid money to lawmakers for their support: Bhattarai Finance minister of the caretaker government and Maoist senior leader Babu Ram Bhattarai has accused other political parties of engaging in a nasty horse-trading to accumulate a majority for a new coalition. Speaking at a function in Gorkha Monday, Bhattarai claimed he had evidence that parties paid hefty amount of money to lawmakers to gain their support to form the government. "Although I have evidence that huge sums of money changed hands in hotel rooms in exchange of support to the new alliance, I cannot reveal the evidences now as, officially, I am still a minister," Bhattarai said. Stressing on the need of a government with national consensus, Dr Bhattarai said a government formed without such consensus would not last for more than three months. Madhav Kumar Nepal is becoming the Prime Minister only to make history, his tenure will not last long, he said. nepalnews.com May 18 09

Sidster, you are forgetting one very important aspect of the way they are collecting $$$. Remember Bernie Madoff ? he he he That guy cooked the books and had the whole financial instituon under his thumb. Now just like Prachandey and his two faced reality, R U SURE THESE NUMBERS WERE NOT COOKED BY THEM JUST LIKE THEY MISLED THE ENTIRE NEPALI BHEDA JANATA ? and one more thing the businesses in Nepal are still paying that weekly bhatta to YCL on top of paying taxes to the govt. which is making their day to existance very very hard to the extent of extinction. If this continues pretty soon there will be no businesses left for them to collect tax.
BathroomCoffee · May 19, 2009 9:38 AM
those bloody maoist asked for 4 lakh rupees from my dad back when i was in nepal....believe me my father works hard to earn money and pays income tax too on a regular basis ..
raju161 · May 19, 2009 9:46 AM
I think you guys are confused over my explanation to the issue. I am advocating for an individual for his work standards(Work Ethics, and Delivery) not for the party. I am not sure if the numbers have been cooked or not. The numbers could have been cooked, you could be right on that. I do not have enough ammunition to argue over whether the book was cooked or not. But i would incline little towards the validity of the artical for the fact that the news was published by Kantipur and Kantipur publication is well known for being Anti - Maoist....arent they? Also, in my neighbourhood in KTM, lots of people went in and paid their property taxes before the deadline not to be fined heavly if not paid by then. Again, property taxes were supposed to be paid in Nepal, it wasnt Baburam's idea to create a new law. He was only enforcing the existing law. People hate this becasue they have enjoyed not paying taxes for years. YCL made my father sell his property for 40 Lakhs lower than the market price few years ago. I do not support YCL activities or Maoists idealogy. I wish there were other democratic ( do not confuse it with Bhrasta UML or Congress we have presently) minded leaders with Baburam's capability in Nepal but there arent. So at the time i would rather pick competent Baburam whose ideas are shady than some incompetent bhatmara leader of Nepal. I do not believe in dictatorship and i have ultra liberal views. When you look at a bigger picture of Nepal. All we have is currupt, inept, loosers runnning the country. Baburam stands out to be the best among those loosers at least he takes his job seriously and delivers what he is suppose to do. I wish the so called democratic leaders would learn the work ethic from him and atleast do the job that they are suppose to do when they hold the post. Those SOBs hold the post for granted, they have no produtivity, no vision, no work ethics, and no morals. If we have enough Baburams, who care less about making money for himself and take the post with the strong sense of work ethic, determination, productivity, and vision then it wouldnt matter what party or idealogy they came from. Peace !!! Last edited: 19-May-09 10:39 AM

Sadly Sidsters explanation reeks of the sh*t that Maoist like to serve up to the gullible. Whether it’s hardliners or not, whether it’s Pukada or Baburam, whether they look to the north or the south, the bottom line is that Maoists are terrorists. Apologists and appeasers may delight in Maoist double-speak and try to have the rest of us taken for a ride, but it doesn’t change the fact that there are no good or bad terrorists. Terrorists are bad, in fact, evil. Before you respond with this tiresome verbiage about the rest of us opposing Baburam because he collected taxes, that’s exactly how one would expect Baburam to defend himself and you are doing just that for him. Let us put in another way, the fact that he collected taxes does not make him any less of a terrorist. What’s stopping you from admitting that Baburam is a terrorist? Please look to Sri Lanka to see what happens to terrorists.
Peter Bagdas · May 19, 2009 2:26 PM
Peter, My point exactly. None of the political characters in Nepal are less of a Terrorist than the next one. They are all terrorist one way or the other. One takes the knife directly to your throat and the other creates an environment for one to have no access to food, shelter, and safety. Just because one chooses to murder indirectly doesnt make them less of a terrorist. I wish there was a third option but there isint Peace !!! Last edited: 19-May-09 03:50 PM

raju161 · May 19, 2009 3:57 PM
Raju, You are coming to the line of my point at well. The "nothing" here should be just doing the job, described in the job description. Baburam did exactly that" nothing" and the others couldnt even do that "nothing" The expectancy from leader in Nepal is so low that, people dont even want the leader to get charismatic things done. They want the mere job done for the salary people are paying for the post. Dr Ram Saran is one of the example of incompetence who probably didnt kill anyone by the throat but didn't do anything to prosper the ordinary Nepali which had direct consequence to the rise of Maoism. Peace !!!
sidster · May 19, 2009 4:10 PM
Sidster - this expanisve definition of terrorism is no doubt an effort that Goebbles would be proud of. You still have not come out with it straight: that Baburam is a terrorist. Let's start with that premise first. Another thing, this sophistry of yours still does not get you out of the conundrum - are you trying to say that becasue others did poorly, that somehow justifies what the Maoists did? We commend you for so adeptly defending the Maoists cause and your every attempt to muddy the waters in their favour. That, however, does not change the fact that you know that the key difference between terrorists and and others is that the former believes in and uses violence to impose on others their set of beliefs. The Moaist and their ideologue Bhattarai need no lessons from anyone on this. You know that that's what they have been doing and with your sophistry to propel their cause, you have become yet another useful idiot for these terrorists.
Peter Bagdas · May 19, 2009 6:21 PM
Baburam is a terrorist; no argument on that. But he is still the most qualified person to handle finance ministry in Nepal with what he has done in 8 months. We are just unfortunate that the best we have is a terrorist. Just because he is a terrorist, i would not call other finance ministers in Nepal more qualified to hold the job. Peace !!!
sidster · May 19, 2009 6:41 PM
ok I comend Baburam for doing his job(which he should be doing anyways regardless of what happened in the past)x !! Lets give him a medal then huh !! At the same time he is also responsible for all the Nepali lives lost in his ascension to Power. So shouldn't we be holding him resposible for that as well ? SO JUST BECAUSE HE IS DOING A GOOD JOB DOES NOT MAKE HIM ANY LESS OF A TERRORIST. YCL still comes and threatens my parents on a daily basis, and you assholes come here to talk about Dr Terrorist in chief doing a good job ? WTF !!!
BathroomCoffee · May 20, 2009 8:47 AM
Why is this thing even a debate? 1. Baburam is a terrorist, and he should be punished by the law. No question at all. 2. He did do good as a Finance Minister, esp with collecting revenues. That doesn't make him less of a terrorist, but it does prove that he is dedicated and knowledgable for the post.

What good job.. collecting more money.. C'mon guys.. what he did was simply using blatant force (guns, threat etc - which are signature of Maoists) he forked out more money.. not a big deal.. More importantly, you have to look into this in a different way.. WHY THE HELL he collected so much money... yes, what's the Purpose....? Of course... while in the government, Maoists want to maximize their gains... which is of course amassing more more.. and paying their debt.. yes, the loan they took to wage bloody 12 year long freaking war against the poeple of Nepal.... Nope.. they did not do that for people.. they did that for themselves.. they brainwashed the ignorant villagers of remote mountains.. used them.. to kill Nepalese...general nepalese.. not a single freaking corrupt leaders were killed in their movement.. Baburam Bhattatatatatarai.. that's what this mad man is....

Now that it's established that Baburam is a terrorist, it's absurd to think a terrorist can do any good. It's as disgusting as saying that Eichamnn was a good administrator for the final solution. The point is that Baburam's goals are exactly the same, whether he makes any tactical adjustments in attaining them is quite irrelevant. The man is a terrorist and no amount of revenue raising is going to change that. And, in any event, there is plenty of evidence emerging to show that it hasn't been all that great at MoFin:http://www.weeklynepal.com/ind...

SIDSTER PLEASE DON'T SHOW THAT YOU ARE A MORON Ten years after the Maoists started their armed insurgency to get rid of the monarchy and establish a communist state in Nepal, more than 12,000 civilian have been killed, 300,000 people have been internally displaced. The Moaists lead by Dr Baburam Bhattari and Prachanda, have shown that they have no regard for human rights since the early days of their campaign. Please allow me to present before you some of the crimes committed by the Maoists. 2006 February 7: Five soldiers were killed and three sustained injuries when Maoists launched a massive attack in Dhankuta targeting the district administration office, regional administration office and all security agencies in the district. 2005 August 27: Seven persons traveling in a passenger bus from Kathmandu to Dang were killed and three others sustained injuries in an explosion at Surai Naka section on the Mahendra highway at the border of Kapilvastu and Dang districts. August 26: Five SF personnel were killed and two others were injured in an IED explosion at Khairanpur in the western district of Kapilvastu. June 14: Maoists kill seven family members of police personnel, including three women and a one-year old child, at Attariya in the Kailali district. April 16: Maoists kill ten civilians, including a child, at Baragdawa in the Somni area of Nawalparasi district. April 9: Insurgents attack the District Police Office, an Army battalion, district prison and also burn some Government offices at Charikot, headquarters of the Dolakha district, and freed some 30 prisoners from the prison. March 6: A group of Maoists kill five civilians, allegedly members of an ‘anti-Maoist retaliation group’, at Kudarmatewa village in the Kapilavastu district. 2004 August 26, 2004: A group of 50 armed Maoist insurgents shot dead a former Chairman of Dhanusha District Development Committee and Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (Nationalist) leader, Badri Bahadur Karki, in the Bharatpur area. March 20 - 21: In a Maoist attack on the District Jail, Office of the Chief District Officer and Army Camps at Beni Bazaar in the Myagdi district, at least 51 security force personnel, including 33 Royal Nepalese Army (RNA) personnel, and 20 civilians are killed. March 3: Maoists insurgents, numbering around approximately 1500 to 2000, attack Nepal Telecommunication Towers and kill 32 security force personnel in Bhojpur district. January 15: Maoist insurgents kill the Mayor of Birgunj and member of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Gopal Giri, at Bahuaari in the Birgunj district. 2003 The Maoist behead journalist Gynendra Khadka in September infront of school students, because the was writing against them and their policy. January 26: Armed Police Force chief Krishna Mohan Shrestha, his wife and bodyguard are killed in an attack by Maoist insurgents in Kathmandu. 2000 February 7: Maoists waylay a bus in Dolakha district carrying Polish tourists and rob them of approximately US$ 5,000 in cash. This is the first major incident by Maoists targeting foreign visitors. 1999 March 5: Communist Party of Nepal––Unified-Marxist-Leninist (CPN–UML) leader Yadu Gautam is assassinated by Maoist insurgents

If you are willing to take the Army Brand glasses off your head you will see that both Army and Maoists are equal bastards and yes out of 13000 deaths UN has said Army is responsible for half of it. yup ..nepali people do have an option be become either a Mao Bi%$ch or Army Bi%^ch. Since last 40 years, Nepali army has been actively involved in taking UML and Congress activists to the Jungle and shooting them in head " in running away from captivity" charges. In 2046 andolan Nepal Army came to my Dad's office and thrashed him for letting people talk about democracy in the office. Lets not mention the various andolan suppression Army has done. During panchayat times there were so many murders that were carried on by Nepal Army like the one above done by Bobby Khatri. If they are really a patriot and are greatful of Nepali taxpayers they should raise an issue of boarder encrochment by india. They wouldnt do that becasue its easier confronting ordinary Nepalese than risk confronting India. The culture of " peticoat washing" is there in Nepal Army. As they say " sometimes there arent enough peticoats" to wash to get a promotion in Army. Sid

Fall of panchayat is the birth of bloody maoists. Nepal Army sponsored Panchayat is responsible for the birth for Maoist. If the kings or the Army were good in Nepal there would have been no Maoists. Pancyaat was the dry firewood and Girija Raj was the fuel for Maoist fire. Yes there is no crime in Iran too...do you want a system like Iran...lol and you blame Maoist for capturing the state power when you praise Panchayat system for security...lol talk about hipocracy... Its funny how you come back to the same point that i have been trying to make the whole time at the end. I can see that you are emotional but you lack information to back your emotions. Sid

I do stand for what is right. The most right thing to do is call all murderers, MURDERERS and not to side the kinder murderer. I can see that you have emotional attachment with Nepal Army and Panchayat so your views are one sided. I don't hate Gandhi, why should i hate Gandhi he hasn't done any harm to Nepal or Nepali people. I will let the Indians argue on whether they hate him or like him. Sid

I brought Iran here because you were saying that during panchayat there was no crime. Thats because no crime ever became public. Did you hear anything about the rapes Kings people did and how Panches and Army used to cover their crimes? Im sure you didnt. You argued as if you prefered Suppression with no crime than liberty with crime. So if you liked Panchayat, you might as well just Cheer for Khumeni because he is a bigger panchayat himself. Sid

Sidster, we are sorry to hear that your father got a trashing from the army in 2046. That’s wrong and no one can condone that sort of behaviour - my own brother was beaten up by a couple of drunk army officers and nothing happened to them. But none of this justifies your line of thinking that Baburam is a good terrorist. That line of thinking is as flawed as putting the army on the same pedestal as these Maoist terrorists. It’s alright to be angry with the army, but please try to be a little more objective and not take things so personally.

When King G finally kicked all the politicians i had a great hope. I had hoped King G to be more business minded and progress minded than lazy King Birendra and i was really happy that he jailed all the crooked politicians once and for all. But as soon as he came to power his first focus was to print his fat face on the Rupees Note and to transfer all Birendra's property in his name and he was doing this being backed by Nalayak Nepal Army. Lol....so you have played soccer in Army barack.....so that makes Army good people...look at your reasoning ....In your theory ..kids in Rolpa never played soccer becasue maoist wouldnt allow kids to play soccer near their training ground right...? I know you want to storngly present your opinion but you do not have enough arguments to prove your points. Each time you write you reflect some childish argument that comes back and makes your entire argument immature. Sid
sidster · May 29, 2009 6:07 PM
Peter, Let me say this again, i did not call Baburam a good terrorist. I called him a good finance minister compared to other finance minsters nepal had in the past. I am not justifying that terrorists are better because army is bad. I do not have any political alliance in Nepal. In US i like honest liberals and honest libertarians. If any of you are able to see the whole picture of nepal without any politically affiliated glasses you will see them all the same. Baburam has practiced terrorism to put his agenda to the people. He just happened to be good at what he did with finance ministry. Thats all. Have you ever viewed arts done by the criminals in Jail. Its sort of like that. Its unfortunate to nepal that the one who hadled the finance ministry the best had to be the terrorist and the others didnt even have the capability of what baburam did. The other point is Nepal Army is a product of " Master and Slave" culture. The career starts from " washing boss's wives Peticoats" When the Peticoat washer gets promoted he gets his own peticoat washer. That peticoat washing culture is everywhere in Nepal Army. The same Peticoat washer officer had come to my Dad's office in 2046 to thrash him. Apparently some people from his office were talking about 2046 revolution out in the street and the Peticoat washer came to his office and called him by names, and addressed him by Ta, and talai, I was in the office at that time...and could never understand what my dad could have done wrong at that time but now i fully understand what Nepal Army is and what its made up of. Sid

Sidster, not sure what point scoring there is to be had if one feels sorry for the fact that your father was beaten up in 2046. That’s beyond me. There does seem to be worrying tendency here: your predilection for tin pot dictators like Gyanendra and wanna be “Dear Leaders†like that terrorist, Baburam. Seriously dude, you need to shed that messiah complex and start working on the deliverance yourself. You owe it to yourself.

Peter, The point to be made is that NA is not as good as what people try to portray it. Its a backward and corrupt organization. Just because they are punishing the terrorists does not make them any clean. They have one motive to punish terrorists and that is to not let any other power take their power from them. Sid
sidster · May 29, 2009 9:33 PM
Railo ji - do terrorists have nationality other than belonging the the global scum club? Surely those who pursue the path of terrorism deserve liquidation irrespective of nationality or are you suggesting that they deserve better, perhaps the Nobel prize? What's your problem with calling a spade a spade, the question of good, bad or indifferent book is quite irrelevant here - unless of course, you happen happen to be from the that side?
Peter Bagdas · May 29, 2009 9:39 PM
Sidster - this is not about the army. This strand is about that terrorist Baburam. The army is capable of being reformed; terrorist on the other hand deserve liquidation. As for this relatively good or bad terrorist verbiage one comes across, there is no such thing. Terrorist are bad full stop and there is no way out for them. Sri Lanka has led the way in our region and with Maoist antics increasing in India, the Nepali version are setting themselves up. In the end it does not matter how or who finishes them off. You are right there is a price to pay for this war on terrorism, but there is no other choice. Terrorism needs to be defeated no matter where it raises its ugly head. As usual Nepal is playing catch up. But they will get there.
Peter Bagdas · May 29, 2009 9:57 PM

very interesting discussion going on here. well, if u r to b neutral without any affiliation to any ideology or institution, nepal army indeed outranks maoists in terms of human rights violation which has been throroughly justified by many which is just hypocracy. so, here i should say i stand with sidster. n i cum from strong military family background, my many relatives serves in various ranks in nepal army from colonel to corporal n gurkha regiments. everyone r well aware of maoists atrocities but it is just mad to justify gross human rights violation that inccludes genocides and tortures from nepal army in the name of national interest or king. it was so severe that it nearly cost them UN peace mission which is also lucrative source of income for personnels as well as whole institution n nation. indeed they did prevent maoists from full military takeover but the situation analysis suggets they were in stalemate position with neither side able to break through n rout each other which means war could hav escalated further to the point either with relsult that of sri lanka or that of cuba in unknown period of time. the core mantra of soldiering r discipline n professionalism which nepal army lacks to b frank, infact it lacks any incentives to attribute such traits in its ranks n files. the incidents as in pilli where they suffered huge casaulties showed the incompetency of commander who chose to run away from the battlefield n save his life by hiding in a cave rather than commanding his man n fighting the batlle together. later in a report they stated 'due to the failure of rifle, INSAS' to which even my bro who is major in nepal army said 'nachna najanne agan tedho'(an example). well, sorry folks to bore u but just putting my personal thoughts that nepal army did fail in its operation to counter insurgency n not just beating hollow pride. they were not cable in eliminating rag tags maoists who were armed with improvised weaponry to watever availble n even thier intel couldnt figure out 4-5 thousand guirella fighters which was only recently made public in prachandas speech. various retired generals of nepal army has accepted thier inept at dealing insurgents, ie they lacked enough competency, expereince, knowledge n resources. formation of ranger battallions with american help n strenghtning 11 brigade which is also an air force of nepal army were key elements in keeping maoists guerellas at bay. currently army n police both r going through massive reform, it takes time, they r getting modernized n professional, just check out the gears of riot police n regular army infantry, i should say they look more modern, professional n smarter than at least indians(being superficial). my conclusion is both r equally responsible n personally i wont justify one to another for thier cause n interests.

Yakthung, Good analysis, as you said "if u r to b neutral without any affiliation to any ideology or institution, nepal army indeed outranks maoists in terms of human rights violation which has been throroughly justified by many which is just hypocracy." i agree with that. Both of these organization are not lesser of a Human Rights violators than the other. I remember the word used before George Bush's era was "insurgents" but George pretty much made it a standard to call them "terrorists". So now the common word anyone who goes against the government with weapon is a terrorist. Mr. Truth About YCL: YCL has not done anything productive or creative for me to say anything good about them. They are there to impose Maoists agendas by force and intimiditaion to ordinary people. They are there to protect their Master's needs in the street. There is no difference between YCL, Youth Force, and Hindu Sena, and Nepal Biiddharthi Sangh. About Baburam calling Stock Exchange a "Juwaghar" is something i agree with. Barack Obama had called Walstreet something to the same line and i agreed with that. Trust me its a Juwaghar and i have lost some money in it too : ) Sid

This is about what Maoists are: terrorists. Terrorism has no nationality. That they happen to come from Nepal is no excuse for not giving them their just desserts. This is not about the army and how many of one’s relatives are employed by the institution or about their competency. With the destructive influences of the monarchy removed, the army, even with its current imperfections, is certainly capable of taking them on and defeating them à la the LTTE in Sri Lanka. In our region, the tide is slowly turning against this menace and our neighbours to the North and South both have serious terrorism issues of their own. Time and again, it’s been shown that terrorists do not change their goals even if they make tactical adjustments every now and then. So why kid ourselves about this? The only logical outcome is their elimination, the sooner the better. In the case of Nepal, this will have both an external and an internal component. That’s just the way it is. Again, in the end it doesn’t matter how it happens, but that it does happen. The next phase will be costly, long and arduous, but it will be worth it in the end. The other alternatives have been tried and they have not worked.
Peter Bagdas · May 30, 2009 8:44 AM
I would like to think that one terrorist will definitely wipe out the next terrorist. Be it LTTE way or Cuban way. Or may be we will become Afganistan where not even all super powers put together are able to wipe out the terrorism from the country. History is witness how Girija and its revolution of Hijacking airplanes/robbing banks and UML's chopping off people's head was suppressed by King and its Army. History is also witness on how the King KG backed by 100K Army force was defeated by all party led revolution without a voilence. It is interesting how things changed. Who would have thought that 100 people who started arms terrorism 10 years ago were going to be responsible for secularism and republic Nepal 10 years later. It was so unpredictable. The next war is between PLA and NA and one of the terrorist is certain to be wiped out or submissed. At the end of certain cycle one terrorist will keep its dominance until another form of terrorism is formed. India has been facing terrorism since their indepedence and has not been able to eliminate it. Almost each state has some sort of terrorism going on. Hopefully ours wont be that long. Sid

Sidster – I share your sentiments: yes, let’s hope terrorism will not last long in Nepal, one way or the other. But let’s face it, these Maoist terrorist have hit their zenith – it’s all downhill from now on. That they beat up your father certainly explains your prejudices about the army, but calling them terrorist and putting them at par with the Maoists is just plain wrong. Thankfully, the pieces are coming together and as I said earlier, it’s only a question of time before these Maoist terrorists get their just desserts. The wheels are in motion and somehow don’t think that even the babu jis will be so forgiving this time around. And yes, I dare say, they will keep your favourite terrorist, Baburam, to the last as no doubt they have other uses for him in this endeavour – no, he’s not going to be a “Karunaâ€; he’s too much of lightweight for that.

irony is brother, that was the goal of army to eliminate all of maoists n its sympathisers pre gyanes fall. n thats wat i hav been saying that they failed to counter insurgents. i dont mean to demean our national army but the fact is fact n i cant beat the hollow pride. difference is u hav taken sides n see urself a saint n other terrorist by which u urself hav promoted to one intiating more hatred n violence. there is vast difference between guerilla warfare and conventional warfare n they all r ugly. b realistic brother ur opinions r nothing but to ignite a hell of fire in our country or maybe u do enjoy counting the number of dead bodies. well, i dont want my members again engaging in a conflict that means nothing to them n is entirely political where they hav to hide thier identity n live very low profile n above all kill own country folks, it would hav been very differnt if the threats were external, if u want ur war u can drag urselves from wherever u r now n do the business urselves brothers. most of the internal details of maoists, whereabout of their key leaders, their real identities, actual number of thier fighters, militia, its all out, u can build ur own strategy n conduct ur own operation good luck bro. at the moment i dont think our national army r willing to b responsible for such genocides.

Yakthung ji, the key reason why the Maoist terrorists survived had less to do with the army's operations and more to do with India. Ask Dahal and his friends where they spent 8 of the 10 years. The situation now is different to what it was under that idiot Gayne. This time the choices are very clear: you choose the path of terrorism, you get eliminated. Those who don't have the stomach for the fight should just get the hell out of the way and stop getting making a nuisance of themselves. As I said earlier, there is an internal and and external component to this exercise and you don't have to be a Clausewitz to see that. Sure the Maoists terrorists will put up a fight. They don't stand a chance. Not now. All the ducks are being lined up and it's a question of time. The will be hit from all sides with no where to run. If you want to be their human shield. Go right ahead - no doubt you will have your place as a collateral damage statistic. Look my friend, did the deaths of so many civilians get in the way of the LTTE's elimination - no. These Maoists terrorists have it coming to them, whether they run or hide. Terrorism will be eliminated, they just chose the wrong fight.

Here is what i conclude from my two day marathon on this thread, there are three factions on this thread, they are independents, Maoists sympathizers, and Army Sympathizers. These three are at the three corners of a three equal sided triangle. An Army sympathizer will always see the independents and Maoists on the same page, a Maoists will always see independents and Army fans on the same pace and lastly independents will always see Maoists and Army sympathizers on the same page. For each interests the other two are in equal distance away although the other two are in two separate spots. Sid

What started off as a strand about that terrorist Baburam was skilfully manoeuvred into a highly jaundiced discussion on the army’s imperfections that basically labelled our soldiers as the terrorists and the Maoists as the saviours - no doubt the Maoist high command have been made proud by such sophistry on the part of some interlocutors. But such venal efforts hardly matter. Whether one describes oneself as “super independent”, “super very independent”, “super objectively really independent”, the fact remains that Baburam, his wife, Hisila, his boss, Prachanda, and the rest of the Maoists are terrorists – it is really that simple. The tragedy for the Maoists is that the only way ahead for them is oblivion and compared to the LTTE’s leadership, their elimination will be a mere footnote.
Peter Bagdas · May 30, 2009 8:41 PM
level me anything brother, but i dont see ur view as a better solution. violonce r counter productive, nepal was already hot bed for any insurgents or rebellions to grow in any form, it came as maoists n now various ethnic groups. all i was saying was our army including our legitimate gov, all those parties n even king, i admire his good itention but loath his wrong choice failed in containing them. situation is different as of sri lanka with nepal, they had fixed frontline, precise enemy targets of particular origins n they were engaging in conventional warfare. maybe u r highly excited knowing that LTTE just got beaten militarily n thier leader prabhakaran dead which u exactly want to happen in nepal too with maoists. i know maoists doesnt stand a chance with army if they hav to fight conventional warfare as in sri lanka, but if the war resumes again it will b guerella warfare and same ol' shiity history continues. india is just an excuse n traditionally a haven for any nepalese rebels to kings to hide or seek help from, had our intel been capable enough it should hav been piece of cake to nab them when they made frequent visit to nepal. i was just saying these r all wat nepal army n prev gov actually failed in when they had a chance to counter them. well, if they break the peace process n officially declares war again then maybe u can arm urself with GPMG n finish whole belt off at anybody who seems maoists. but as of now i dont agree with ur bloody final solution which is no different than of hitlers to elieminate jews. now we hav different scenario, i m afraid its all ur own personal hypothesis n as to materialise it u along with bunch who agrees with u hav to execute it urselves.
yakthung_laje · May 31, 2009 1:45 AM
Yakthung ji- In over 25 years of conflict, which lead to the elimination of the LTTE’s leadership, around 80,000 lives were lost. That’s 80,000 too many lives. The choice there was to take on the terrorists or submit to their dictates. We know what path was opted for and what the results are. With India no longer as accommodating as before, it would take lot less to eliminate the Maoist leadership, probably not exceeding 200 targets, with 300 to 400 in total – that is, if the likes of junior Dahal are thrown in for good measure. In fact, it will beless even compared to Chile in 1973. It might be apt for civil society wallahs like Deverndra Raj and Mathura Shrestha to use such emotive words as “genocide”, but the facts speak otherwise and anyone who has even basic knowledge of the holocaust would find that sort of comparison downright silly. As I said previously, if you want to star as a Kul Bahadur or a Phudong or act as the human shield for these terrorists, that’s your choice. We respect that. You are more than welcome to play the part of the useful idiot for one and a collateral damage statistic for the other side. But I quite agree, that before we allow you launch yourself into martyrdom, we must give these Maoist terrorists enough rope to hang themselves with. For now, it’s the language of consensus, peace, brotherhood/sisterhood, but we all know that these Maoists chose terrorism as their strategy and when your strategy is wrong, no matter what tactical adjustments are made, it won’t make the slightest difference. At long last, it’s good to see that the conditions are coming just right for the rest of us to pay these Maoist terrorists back with interest and in some respects we need to thank lead terrorists like Baburam for this.
Peter Bagdas · May 31, 2009 9:51 AM
the most important thing is they are termed terrorist by the world but we all nepalese welcomed them in our government even allowed them to take the position of prime minister ....with the dream that they will stop violence and start forming the collaborate and highly promising power in the history of our country....but they involved in self interest.... talking democratic republic in one hand and promising communism to the cadres in the cantonment is a dire example of their intension to kill more 13000 innocent nepalese ...to advocate in terms of maoist and pretend oneself like a peace lover is the example of promoting the killing of more Nepalese by its very nature....a poisonous plants can be prevented from growing if they are pulled out from their very root ......i don't know what everyone things ......

Peter, Its funny how you think eliminating 300 - 400 leaders would eliminate Maoist problem in Nepal. Trust me no one is more vindictive than Nepalese. The reason why the whole non Mao villages turned into a Mao Villages is because of Army/ Girija leadership with similar thought like yours. Villagers were forced to become Mao to run away from Army harassment and torture. Don't forget that over 35% of Nepali voters voted for Maoists and if 300- 400 leaders are killed another 300 - 400 will be formed until you get rid of the whole 35%. Take an example from Middle east terrorists. US and the world has been fighting over 10 year for all they got and are still not able to win. The war is unwinnable if the most you can take (his life) from them is the least they care about. Here is why i think your ideas are flawed. Anyone who believes in true democracy accepts the majority regardless of how wrong the majority is. That is the failure point of democracy because sometimes 51% of the population could be wrong and could be the rulers. According to your definition of democracy, its only democracy if the party you prefer wins. Being able to address the issue and asking people to compromise is the solution not a Genocide as you wish. Genocide is never an answer. We need someone like Obama to lead the nation. Sid

Raju, I dont know how many times i need to reiterate to you that i condemn killing. Both Army killings in the name of restoring peace and order and Mao killings for revolution is not acceptable to me. Anyone who practices killing is on the same page to me. There is a chance that one or more Mao leadersbwill be assassinated by someone be it India, US, his own cadres for compromising with Army and political parties, or he could end up being murdered by a vindictive relative of someone who he directed to murder or others. But it certainly will not be Army. Army has shown that they do not have enough intellegence or dedication to contain the terrorists. I have not changed my stance. Both are terrorists and i condemn killings by both, one is not better than the other. I know you are smart enough to believe that i have not resembled a chameleon. You are smart enough not to believe half of what you say yourself. You have one motive here, you just want to show it to the thread readers that Nepal Army is a great organization and it will rescue Nepal from its misery. Sid

Sid – what don’t you get? Have you forgotten how the Maoists drove opponents out of the villages if not murdered them wholesale? Even with such terror, they could not secure a majority in the CA elections. And I don’t have any qualms about saying that democracy might have faults but there is yet to be found a system that’s better and in that sense you do get anomalies: yes, the Germans voted for the Nazis, but did that make the outcome any better for them? What is not acceptable is that terrorists like the Maoists and Hamas are out to subvert this very system to impose their warped ideology on others as the Nazis tried to do. That is my point of departure with you. Maoists are terrorists. Their goals have never changed. So far we have resisted them. Now it’s time to take the war to them and do away with this parochial, defensive mentality. My friend the conditions now are very different to what they were when Girija wanted to use the army against them. He was prevented from doing so by the palace – but you know that already as someone who supported Gyane. So much time has been wasted in pandering to these terrorists. No matter how much you may wish to preserve your hero Baburam, it’s just not going to happen even if he survives the internal purges. As the chief ideologue of this terrorist outfit he has a great deal to answer for and the time of reckoning is fast approaching. And this time, these terrorists have nowhere to hide.
Peter Bagdas · May 31, 2009 11:43 AM
id now i want you to say 1.Who is Baburam Bhattarai? Baburam Bhattari is a smart man with an outdated idea, who dreams of bringing changes to his country with arms revolution. He is still sticking to the path that UML and Congress gave up long ago. UML and Congress learned a good lesson with the failure of Arms Revolt and are still defamed for how they formed their parties. Baburam's idea of Arms revolution will make its party look nothing better than Hijackers/Robbers Congress and Head Chopping UMLs. Its just happened that he was the best finance minister in Nepal in its history. And its not because of his righteousness, its because of his dedication and diligent to his post. Also i do not call him the best politician ever in Nepal history. I think he is the best among all the losers we had who held the post of finance minister in the past. 2. Explain me the meaning of terrorism. Terrorism is a policy or ideology of violence[1] intended to intimidate or cause terror[2] for the purpose of "exerting pressure on decision making by state bodies."[1] The term "terror" is largely used to indicate clandestine, low-intensity violence that targets civilians and generates public fear.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T... 3.explain me why pravakaran is killed options C) Pravakaran is killed because SriLankan Army is more dedicated, eligible and intelligent than his own army. He also didnt have enough approval for his terrorist act in SriLanka and Sri Lanka's big brother China assisted Sri Lankan army a lot in getting rid of Prabhakaran.Srilankan army had chinese blessings in getting rid of him is also a reason for his demise. a)because of his highly threatned nature b)because he was not smart 3) what you think about american government's thinking even the obama administration thinks maoist are terrorist and they should surrender their destructive activities. I support any government who thinks Maoists are terrorists and should surrender their destructive activities. I have agreed with many things Obama says and does 4)i wan't you to tell me why you call Nepal army terrorist even they are not in the world terrorist list...options is it because they kicked your dad or because they once kicked prachande's ass/ NA is not Terrorist, because any organation who is in Power is not called Terrorists, they are called Tyrants and Murderers. NA is a demoralized organisation who has no interest to serve its people and given the situation they are willing to follow the same path a terrorist would follow eg: the torture and killing of a 15 year old Child. So it doesnt matter if they are on the list or not. I am sure in your theory the tibetians fighting with arms in china are also terrorists...lol 5) how can you proudly say Nepal army was not able to wipe out maoist....is everything hidden from you? We saw how incompetent, worthless Army was during the 10 year insurgency. They didnt even have an estimate of how many PLAs there were. While PLAs could get inside info of army on where they would locate and operate but NA would have no clue of PLAs whearabouts. Yes. the actual work needed to be done and those inept team couldnt deliver. You cant expect much from the group who just sits there and eats "maasu bhat" in barrack on poor tax payers money. And gues what happened at the end, the mere 5000 strong PLA got some of what they wanted. That is seculism and Republic. Two of the demands that they went to Jungle for. What did Army get?.....Nothing....Thats why they were not able to defeate Maoists in the conflict. What does NA know about work ethic and responsibility. They are just happy to wash their bosses's wives peticoats and eat Masu bhat paid by poor nepal Tax Payers. 6)why you think maoist temporarily came to peace agreement? do you think they were growing so large in numbers or do you think they were in the verge of extinction? Maoists would like to think that they came to peace agreement as prachanda said in his video, which is to fool the political parties and buy more time to regroup and continue their goal of state capture. But i think Maoist temporarly came to peace agreement because india wanted them to do so. India needed to get rid of King KG and they used Maoists to get rid of KG. Its in India's interest to get Rid of Kings which were seen as obstacles for Nepal to become a full statelite of India. sidster please don't be offended i call you opportunist and a thugs who wear a blanket with a potrait of gandhi coz i have figured them out from a long discussion together.... You can call me whatever you want. You have proved you intellegence in this thread. You are nothing but emotions. I dont get offended if you call me oppurtunists, maoists or Peticoat washer sympethiser. My views are with me regardless of your light arguments. Last edited: 31-May-09 01:17 PM

Peter, Baburam is not my hero and i would care less about preserving his heroism. I am only an observer and i have observed Baburam to be the best finance Minister in Nepal with his output in nepal's history. If the new finance minster outperforms Baburam in finance ministry, the new dude will take the No. 1 on my list and if Ram Sharan comes back with a result he will climb up to the No 1 rank. Get my other answers from message to Raju. You want to sound like an intellect but you lack rationality. The principle of " Anyone who is not with me is with them " is old now, caused Bush to cost the republican party's fall. Sidster – You mentioned about Maoist victims being vindictive, given your diatribe against the army, what does that make you, especially, now that we know that your gripe against them goes back to your papa’s thrashing in 2046? I am not trying to personalise the issue, but you need to seriously calm down on this one and try to be little less vindictive and more objective. I also detect a certain amount of nostalgia for the monarchy in what you have stated, in particular, going back to your initial support for that couhon, Gyane. Yes, the Indians used a lot of things against Nepal, but there can be no doubt that if they did get rid of the monarchy, that’s probably one of the better outcomes. Now let’s get to the point. Barring individual cases of malfeasance, the men and women of the security forces can sleep soundly at night having fought these Maoist terrorists and prevented their outright takeover of Nepal. Notwithstanding the lack of clear strategy at the macro-political level, shortcomings of command and logistics, including communications, the failure to deploy adequate air power in a timely manner and the poor quality of field intelligence and its analysis, they fought splendidly in the most difficult of terrains. They need not apologise to anyone on this score, especially, factoring in the limitations imposed on them at the operational level by virtue of the shelter afforded to these terrorists from across the border to the south. Their efforts truly merit appreciation no matter the many, intense and the repeated assaults they have been subjected to from some quarters, which have sought to vilify and castigate these brave and dedicated men and women as terrorists and their opponents, the Maoists, as the heroes. In contrast, the Maoist terrorists know that sooner or later, their time of reckoning will come. They have no one but themselves to blame for banking on terrorism as their strategy. With this they fought the wrong war and the outcome for them is certain, annihilation. The world has moved on from giving any leeway to terrorists. Now there can be no second chances. It’s a question of when, not whether they will be finished off. It’s too late for your chum, Baburam – he’s going to get it both ways. For those who are no longer are prepared to submit to the dictates of these terrorists and live the rest of their lives in subservience to their warped ideology, the willingness, freedom and the ability to fight back is a necessary condition of self-defence, which, in turn, will assist to promote, preserve and nurture a way of life that values plurality and individual freedoms over tyranny. Apparently, you disagree.

Peter, I can agree with everything you have said about Maoists party and i care less about what people decide for Maoist party as i have decided to honor the rule of democracy be content with what people select to lead the country, but i do not agree with what you have to say about NA. I had already heard those excuses for that corrupt, inefficient, Master and Slave cultured, backward, inept, and law disobeying NA.Just because i do not agree with Maoist ideologies of torture and murder it will not force me to label another equally bad institution a good one. I would also like to see "what goes comes around" theory applied to Baburam for his directions on tortures and murders to civilians. Lets hope that Nepal gets a finance minister who is more efficient and productive than Baburam before it comes to him. Sid

Sidster - Calling a spade, a spade, sounds like straight-talking to me. That’s what I am about. Maoists are terrorists, Baburam is a terrorist and there is full stop after that. You are the one insisting on adding a whole lot of bull after that – that’s what really stinks. I am not particularly bothered about how you choose to see me, “a dumbo”, “a pseudo”, “a soothsayer”, “a bimbo” or anything else. This is not about me; it’s about everyone’s right to resist terrorism and to annihilate this monster wherever it raises its ugly head. Equally, it matters not what you are, a PsyOps officer with the NA, Manushi Yami’s lover or Khaptad Baba’s cousin thrice-removed. The only issue where your stance has any bearing is when it comes to the question of whether you support terrorism as a strategy as the Maoists have chosen to do. If you don’t, and I suspect that that is the case, then the only differences we are likely to have is about the means and the timing as to their usage when it comes to fighting against terrorism. Without rehearsing all that has been repeated above, I happen to think that this is the right time to hit these Maoist terrorists from all sides as the key conditions that proved inimical to their destruction have now been removed or substantially negated (e.g. Gayne’s departure, change in the Indian coalition politics, etc). What I don’t want to see happening, although you have every right to do, is you simply wasting all your time bitching about the army because they beat up your pops. You have done a good job in terms of saying the army is not without imperfections and I would second that and go one further to say that there needs to be substantive reform to bring this institution into the 21st century in spirit. But we simply cannot wait for this to be completed before taking steps to defend ourselves against this continuing terrorist menace. There are some tough choices to be made and the work will not be easy. In tandem, I hope that you and I can agree that no cost-benefit-analysis done by any sane person can ever produce a result that makes it alright to give into terrorism – in our case, to Maoist terrorism, with or without Baburam as its leading functionary.
Peter Bagdas · May 31, 2009 3:47 PM
Peter, I would not choose to see you as , “a dumbo”, “a pseudo”, “a soothsayer”, “a bimbo” or anything else. I can sense that you are informed and at least you have some of your facts together, so when you present your argument it has some weight in it. Your guess on story on my pops is not fully correct. It may appear that my views are influenced by that event but the truth is not that. The truth is, that event certainly helped me read and find out more about NA and why things occur certain ways in Nepal. The search helped me find out more about what NA was about and what culture they have in them and also made me become politically aware. You are right...NA needs an overhaul...a total change in its leadership who has gotten there with the petticoat washing culture. They need to bring professionalism in Army. Strong actions should be taken against Army members who are involved in crimes like rape and murders. Those army officers who think/practice that the lower class officers are their own properties should be put on probation. And Army should stay out of politics. About Baburam...lets hope that Nepal will get more productive and efficient ministers like Baburam who would not have a taint of terrorism in their forehead and would outperform Baburam's work so that we can call the new guy the best finance minister for Nepal to date. Sidster - The bottom line here is this: the army should be reformed; the Maoist terrorists (or other terrorists) eliminated – that includes terrorist No. 2 (or is it No. 3 now), Baburam; & a future built based on the principles, practices and goals of a functioning liberal democracy. Agreed?

I can agree with reforming army, and building a future based on principles, practices and the goals of a functioning liberal democracy with the minimum requirement of Minimum Work Ethics expected from the leaders. Maoists should be fully disarmed and the ones who want to go back to the path of Violence with arms should be dealt with by National Army be it capturing or eliminating them. It is not possible to entirely eliminate the Maoists as 35% of people of Nepal appear to be Maoists or their supporters but the Militias who want to go back to the previous path should be eliminated or captured. Sidster - I couldn’t agree with you more on holding our “netas” accountable and dealing firmly with those Maoists that wish to continue down the path of terrorism. So far they have got away with much due to the weaknesses of the opposition – the buffoon Gyane being a case in point. As with any bully, they’ll back down if you show sufficient resolve to take the fight to them and win. That’s what has been sorely lacking in Nepal and there may be some room for optimism due to the changes in the scenario. For the rest that don’t listen, they can look forward to hell. And for Baburam, he is damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t - now that Gayne is not around to save his neck this time. Honestly, what a wasted life!
