I got an offer for a car from a Japanese postdoc who is returning Japan this month. The specifications of the car are as follows: 2000 TOYOTA Rav 4, 90,000 miles, White color, clean title, in good condition. How much will you pay for this car,if you have to buy this??? Thanks a lot in advance for your genuine responses. Last edited: 15-May-09 03:13 PM

How desperate is he to sale that baby..also does he have any potential buyer beside you? If answer is desperate and no buyer low ball him and pay 8000 max....see the dealer ad below in my area and its his first price, 2002 Toyota RAV4     Engine: 2.0L Transmission 4-Speed A/T Exterior: Spectra Blue Mica Interior: Gray Mileage: 84,971 Price: $8,995 Stock Number: J044622 VIN: JTEGH20V320044622 $8,995   Remember this is  dealer ad and this fool who put this ad bought this car for less than 7500

how much is he/she asking in the first place, hear his first peice and ask him/her whats the lowest can he/she can go and give him/her  your price-1000 (that price is to negotiate), if he agrees then its fine then if not increase a little. Believe me this place is like nepal and india and we have to negotiate. Don't pay the first price and walk out please.
