For last several years, I tried so many varieties of CMS (Content Management Systems). Most effective types that I liked were: 1. Word Press - good for bloggers. Does not have much options, but it is smart one. 2. Joomla - It received the best prize in open source CMS system. It is very good, but I gave up because it is too complicated if you are not a dedicated WebGuru. My system was once highjacked. Because of its too large size, it is very difficult to maintain the security system. 3. Drupal - Drupal.org It is my favorite CMS. It is very well organized. Modules can be extended without difficulty. I love it. For last 3 years, I am always getting threats from unhappy (with the content in my website) visitors (Nepalis) that they weill hack my website one day. So far, I am safe. Its best side is that you can run several websites without needing several copies of the program. Joomla and WordPress might also have this option, but configuration is too complicated in these CMS softwares. Drupal is 100% Database based, therefore, you can run so many domains, and sub-domains in the same place : same server. 4. I recently found Tiki-wiki as one of the best CMS software, when your website is to develop on Wikipedia model. If you want to use volunteers, and dedicated people, then it is the best website for information oriented websites. I was not able to identify the method or procedure to use one installation for multiple domains. I am still in explore model. If you are running Kathmandu.org or Kathmandu.info websites with sole purpose of providing information on Kathmandu, then this is the best CMS, and your website can be rich of contents in a matter of few months. Give a try. Join Pokhara.org, and enrich the information about Pokhara and surrounding places. Lets have fun. Please let me know your email and phone number, I will verify your real identity, then I will add you as editor or Patron or admin based on need and your interests and suitability. http://www.Pokhara.org
