Set up a Skype (4.0 latest) account and buy Unlimited US and Canada call for 3.95 a month. Give your families Skype password, they can call you on your home/cell phone or any phone in US and Canada for free as long as there is power in Nepal. peace.

If you have to set up skype and be on line unless you have cable modem, it is better to walk to the phone center and pay Rs. 1 per minutes.

Himtel is a CRAP!! Himtel is like wasting your dollars to get fraustrated. Try Yetitel. They are really good. They connect at a shot and have very clean connecton. You may go to Yetitel.com and find out more.
