Happy Boisakh! "How are you celebrating the Boisakhi?", I got an early morning email from my long lost Bengali friend. "It was great man!!", I wasted no time in replying him despite the elevated hangover. I love my country but sometimes you gotta see the big picture that is why I did not care while my folks were enjoying their old legs on those hit bollywood singles in nearby Indian restaurant. I remember this south Indian friend of mine who would often love to ridicule me, "Mt Everest! big problem this is na for you guys, right?" I would feel like having one more Corona coz I knew I would defend my patriotism really well especially when I am drunk which would normally last until I puked. Socialization! that too often comes with hefty price tag, the last minute fight scene, I realized big hassle it is. So, I have now switched gears from those Saambhar parties to facebook socialization where I could freely elate almost anybody without having to hide my fake emotion. 'Awesome! you look so cute'. I never could understand this thing... how come everybody in facebook look so cute? It is like ..hey ! you viewed my album, now it is time for you to do little payback here. Talking about this online networking, I found this very startling. We do not recognize our next door neighbor nor do we even bother to talk to anybody in the same floor we live in but facebook there is.... ढोकासोका लाएर कस्तो हो यो सोशल नेट्वर्किंग ? Big problem there is. Problem is everywhere. I have been looking for job eversince but I have had no luck so far. Like Palin has hope for next round election, I have hope too. Do not worry folks! there is a desi consultancy at the end of the tunnel. I know I not only have to sacrifice half of my salary but also have to go through extreme make over sessions of my resume inorder to get that other halves. Contract there is, Nah? On top of that, I specially warn ladies not to go through them. Seriously, you can not even lie about your age if you carry that resume with you. And guys! No matter how high your jaw dropping personality may attain when you carry that resume, please do think twice before you make that call because economy there is. After all, the only purpose of this is to give green signal to your folks back home to start looking for your soulmate. Shaadi.com there is but I doubt your bandwidth will ever surpass that heavy traffic especially at night. I recently read an article in CNN about this online marriage site. "How could you imagine to marry a girl of your father's choice without even dating for atleast couple of months?", ponders this old junkie who has been battling his nth failed marriages since fall of 2001. I was like dough!!! ours last atleast till next valentine if not longer. Anyway, there is nothing important to read in CNN.com either. The front page is always littered with pirate's news, the story of booming side of economy in Somali water. It seems like they are just trying to get into politics by funding their activities through ransom. Any problem? Come visit us in the other side of the world. The government will trade its ideas with your water. How bizarre!!!!, kudos to this NewZie band.
