Read these news article and decide yourself who is responsible for chaos in the country: Baby king’ plot not fruiting: Dr. Bhattarai Kantipur Report KATHMANDU, March 13 - Finance Minister and senior leader of the Unified-CPN (Maoist) Dr. Baburam Bhattrai said on Friday that the 'plot' for baby king's ascension to the throne would not succeed. Addressing a function of the Free Students' Union in Kirtipur, the Maoist leader reiterated that senior political leaders were off to India to meet former king Gyanendra and plan the 'baby king's' ascension. "The grandfather king could not rule the country for long and the leaders' baby king mission would also fail," the minister said, adding there was no chance of monarchy's revival in the country. Bhattarai said the Nepali Congress might lose its identity because it is "at the forefront of a plan to revive kingship." Dr. Bhattarai called on all stakeholders to remain united unless the constitution is drafted and state restructured under the leadership of his party. Responding to students' questions, the finance minister urged leaders and stakeholders not to deepen the controversy pertaining to the army integration issue. He also blamed political leaders for making uncalled-for comments on the issue. "We should sort out the controversy through talks, but the two armies -- Nepal Army and the Maoist People's Liberation Army -- must be integrated without delay." The Maoist leader noted that the government had formed a special committee to resolve the deepening controversy and look for ways to kick-start the integration process. Nepal needs no Monarchy: Ex King Gyanendra Shah window.google_render_ad(); TGW Gyanendra Shah, the former King of Nepal, say sources, in his meeting with the Bharatiya Janata Party President Raj Nath Singh told that he was not in favor of reinstating monarchy in any form in Nepal. The former monarch of Nepal Gyanendra Shah is currently in India. He has just met the BJP president, Mr. Raj Nath Singh, Tuesday March 24, 2009. “I am not in favor of any form of monarchy in Nepalâ€, told Gyanendra point blank. Neither Gyanendra criticized the Maoists’ led government of Nepal nor did he ask for the Indian support to reinstate monarchy in Nepal, a vernacular daily quotes its New Delhi sources as saying. He, however, only defended the Institution of Monarchy by saying that “The Institution of Monarchy in Nepal was completely different than in the manner it is and was being portrayed in each and every Nepali household currently.†“The Institution was not completely wrong though it ruled for long period of timeâ€, Gyanendra is further quoted by the same source. The source quoting the BJP President Raj Nath Singh says that the BJP will not interfere in Nepal’s internal matters however, as a good neighbor the BJP will keenly watch Nepal’s political developments. Mr. Singh also asked the former monarch to divulge his views over the relationship between the ruling coalition partners back in Nepal. To add, later on Tuesday Gyanendra also met with Jaswant Singh- the former foregin minister of India. King Gyanendra is expected to arrive home today March 25, 2009 if every thing moves in Delhi smoothly. courtesy: www.telegraphnepal.com 2009-03-25 08:29:38 window.google_render_ad(); window.google_render_ad(); Last edited: 05-Apr-09 02:33 AM
