"Initially skeptical for genre reasons, I was blown away by a live show earlier this month at Castaways. These boys are primed for prime time." -Luke Z. Fenchel, The Ithaca Times "Ayurveda, "Porkchop" The melodic hard rock band turns mystical guide in this haunting and head-banging track of their debut, "Being."" -Maxine Shen, New York Post

Artist Info Members: Tom Burchinal-Vocals, Shikhar Bajracharya-Guitar, Diwas Gurung-Guitar, Mike Parker-Drums, Dan Halperin-Bass You can also find us at: Join the Mailing List Join the Street Team Privacy Policy More About The Artist If you are already here visiting than you probably already know a lot about the band, so we won't waste your time with a boring and long bio. Here's the reader's digest version: Ayurveda means "the science or knowledge of life" in sanskrit. It's not only our name, but also at the core of our message. We are a collection of people from all over the place. Diwas is from Nepal, Shikhar is first generation Nepali-American from Maine, Dan is from a combo of Massachusettes and New York (conflict of interest? he's a Red Sox fan), Mike is from upstate New York, and I (Tom) am from way out west in Arizona, where wild fires and religious zealotry come from. We all met in Ithaca, NY where we currently live. All of us, with the exception of Mike, went to Ithaca College - two of us graduated. So there you go - the basics and shit. If for any reason you'd like to know more about us, just send us a message! We love (most) people. And we love to hear feedback, or just a howdy doody. We do have different content all over the web, if you like what you hear/see. We've concentrated most of our super powers on a few select sites that are updated the most frequently. Obviously here on Reverbnation, but in addition I would recommend checking us out on Myspace/Facebook/YouTube/Flickr/Jambase and of course our groovy animated website AyurvedaMusic.com. Namaste, hope you are happy and healthy at the time of reading this and at every moment there after... Tom
