Rajmani,             if this is your first programming class, and you are struggling to get the concept then don't worry too much, dude. It takes a while to grasp better knowledge in programming. If that is not the case, and still you are struggling on your programming assignments and tests, then I suggest you to choose networking. Networking usually doesn't involve hell lot of programming. But it is always a plus point to have some programming skills. Here are some useful tips for ya : a. Allocate enough time to brainstorm the programming problems. Don't wait till the last minute to get it solved. b. Design a flowchart or pseudocode before writing the code. c. Study group is helpful most of the time. d. Study from the beginning, don't jump into the advanced concept before you are comfortable with the basic concepts like variable, methods, class, etc. e. Personally, I would google if I don't understand something from the textbook. There are lot of examples available online regarding the specific methods or concept. So, it is easier to understand the concept by looking at the example. f. PRACTICE, PRACTICE AND PRACTICE!!!
