I am planning to open a mutual account as a resident since I have been in US for 5 years. However, I am planning to go back to Nepal next year. Do I have to file tax in US on my investment account when I am in Nepal or any other country? Will there be any problem when filing US tax (if needed?) if I open the account as a resident? Can knowledgeable financial ppl answer my question please.
