Hey People!!!! Have you ever wondered why we Nepalese are different than other citizens???? Because we love the way we are……Apart from our glorious history, strong cultural background, religion…we can be easily spotted. Here are few typical behaviors which through the eyes of a foreigner, seperates us from them. Its not that the people of other nations are without any pecularities; but this time let's see our own. 1. You talk for an hour at the front door after leaving someone’s house. 2. You name your children in rhymes…Rajendra..Surendra, Anita..Binita, Maheshwor..Rameshwor etc 3. Your kitchen shelf is full of jars, plastic utensils….most of them you got free with purchase of other stuff. 4. Your home food is savored in garlic, tomatoes, onions and a hell lotta spices. 5. You use grocery bags to use garbage. 6. You arrive one or two hours late at an invited place and think that’s its normal. 7. You fight over who pays the bill at the restaurant. 8. You live with your parents and you are 40. 9. You call an elder people you never meet before….uncle and aunty. 10. When your parents meet to a stranger and talk for few minutes, suddenly you discover that are talking to a distant cousin. 11. You have drinking glasses made up of steel. 12. Waiters and waitresses at the restaurant are suddenly your brothers and sisters as you start calling them 'bhai', 'dai', and 'bahini'. Jai Nepal

Aren't we great? After all we are Nepali

Icoffee: I think a lotta nepalese are so ready to critique others/ourselves.  We might differ in some aspects but it is something all/many races do. 1. You talk for an hour at the front door after leaving someone’s house. I have seen this with chinese, indians and whites. 2. You name your children in rhymes…Rajendra..Surendra, Anita..Binita, Maheshwor..Rameshwor etc so do others - Ken, jen, chung wung etc 3. Your kitchen shelf is full of jars, plastic utensils….most of them you got free with purchase of other stuff. this is true with spanish and lotta other races 4. Your home food is savored in garlic, tomatoes, onions and a hell lotta spices. That is our food my friend.  Italians/spanish and lotta others have their food savored in their food they dont seem to complain. 5. You use grocery bags to use garbage. Again lotta other ppl do it too 6. You arrive one or two hours late at an invited place and think that’s its normal. Belive me everyone does it but neps are a little bad...nth astounding to write home about 7. You fight over who pays the bill at the restaurant. Thats called hospitality if you didnt know 8. You live with your parents and you are 40. I dont see a problem with that.  If you can take good care of your parents you should I would live with them until 70 if I could but I dont have that opportunity but I am trying to bring my parents here 9. You call an elder people you never meet before….uncle and aunty. heard of RESPECT? 10. When your parents meet to a stranger and talk for few minutes, suddenly you discover that are talking to a distant cousin. Heard of seperated by 6 degrees? 11. You have drinking glasses made up of steel. for durability and lasting use 12. Waiters and waitresses at the restaurant are suddenly your brothers and sisters as you start calling them 'bhai', 'dai', and 'bahini'. again Respect.. Besides that it is a evolving phase where we come here learn new etiquettes and ways until then we do whatever we do.  Slowly (for many) learn to spend money and buy nice stuff for house and self.  Learn to live properly etc I think your string is uttely degrading.  Making fun of who you are is not funny
