Is it posssible to file for an H1 B in 2009 with just the Kaplan's I20 i.e. with F1 status without having the OPT! The consultancy I work for said, YES they can file for my H1 with Kaplan's I20! Do you think this would be possible? Your suggestions would be highly appreciated

you can file H1 from nepal or any other part of the world.  so, with your F1 status intact, you definitely can file for H1B.

I wont be working though, I will just have the I20! My employer says they can file me for H1! Just get the I20. However, I am in a GRACE PERIOD right now (60 days). My  Grace Period ends on Feb28th 09. Can I apply for Kaplan in this grace period and file for my H1 in April? Please respond...
