Magic Jack  and Skype work perfectly. If you're within the city cable and wireless networks will work. Most people in cities at least have stopped using dial up. My parents use a 3g card to connect skype with video. Also they like out side ring road  about 10 kms away. You can also check ntc site. Here you go. http://ntc.net.np/internet/ads... http://ntc.net.np/internet/ads...

I left nepal in 2006. I know, the premium package from subisu used to charge around Rs. 7000 for 128 kbps for home user. They mostly deliver the said speed, but sometimes could go slow. But I heard now they are down to less than 1000 rs. and mostly replaced by ntc adsl. It is good if someone could update and compare what it is now.
