In Kathmandu, a woman with two children can drive a taxi, send her kids to good schools, put food on the table, and still support her parents in the village. Yet, Nepali men in the U.S. think they’re superior—even when they lack that kind of courage. Don’t you even feel a little embarrassed being a Nepali man in the U.S. when women in Nepal work hard and survive? I don’t think Nepal lacks opportunities—I think it lacks confidence in the minds of our Nepali youth. And I see some of them around here.
