Hi All, I will need to renew my DL soon. I have EAD that expires next year. Will I be able to renew my DL with valid I766? I766 should be valid identification document. What are your experiences? Last edited: 24-May-24 03:04 PM

expired passport will work if you have unexpired EAD and . if you are a US citizen ( which you are not) no need passport but for all non citizen pasport is needed . but certain states have unique requirements . but most of states have almost similar rules except florida . in nothing works , come to cali or NY , you can renew your your DL without any valid paper , you only need proof of residency . NY /cali license is better than no licensee but dont go to florida with ny licesence

you don't need your passport! You can show your EAD which is a proof of your immigration status along with your identity itself. I have renewed my DL with just i-94 itself back in 2019.
