Hi, I m helping my father who is 73 years old, file N-400 (Citizenship). He has never worked in the US since he became a Permanent Resident and always added him as a dependent when I filed for tax return. Does he have to say Yes for this question ? If Yes , what should he say in the explain box ? Thank you for you help. We really appreciate it.

I would check but if your father does not have any income then he is not required to file taxes when he is included as a dependent
