That has been the Indian plan from its so called independence. It is still continuing in many fronts. The good thing in Nepal has been that someone has been clever enough to foil such attempts, or maybe it is divine ordinance. Mahendra was astute in that regard, and now it is the turn for "woke" citizens to foil such attempts. There are those in Madhes who do want to help India, all the current Madhes politicians, but there are plenty of ordinary citizens who are actually aware and fighting against such designs.

It seems like that Putin wants to draw a clear line between east and west. He wants the Nato and the west to stay put in the western hemisphere. I really don't think the US and the west will be part of the third world War directly if there is one. They have already fought two bloody wars. Further, the west is too old to fight for a small piece of land at this stage. If there is a third world war, it has to be in the East. Most of the modern eastern countries are young, and they are still adjusting and adaptipting to the new systems. India, China and Russia all are making moves for regional dominance. There is Indonesia, Pakistan, Iran. And, throw in religious hadliners both Islamic, Buddhists and Hindus. We recently saw coups in Myanmar and Afghanistan by religious hardliners. The war seems to be going to the east in my view. Hope it doesn't happen.
