It is inspiring at many levels. It also exposes a blatant truth. A homegrown hero (from Nepal) is always ignored until a light-skinned foreigner comes in, does half of those peaks and is celebrated all over the world (and the western media). Since most of media that we consume is western-focused, homegrown heroes like Nim don't even make it to the light of day in the media. Thank you Netflix for providing a voice to such heroes. I have a feeling, some facts have been left out and it would be interesting to know the main motivation behind leaving the gurkha regiment in the UK army and delve deeper there. Overall, a damn great job from the team! It is amazing how they (Nim and his crew) tried to save lives when even the rescuee's team abandoned those climbers. It shows their deep humanity even when they had loftier goals ahead of them.
