I am a US citizen now and got married in nepal and got the marraige certificate through ward office. The marriage certificate has my nepali citizen number and permanent address of nepal. Later I read online that i need to get no objection letter from US embassy in Nepal and go through CDO to get marriage certificate since I am a US citizen . Will this be a issue if i apply based on marriage? Is fiance visa quicker then marriage based? please help in this matter what shoud I do? Appreciate it!

Not familiar with the types of marriage certificate issued from ward office or CDO. Anycase., can your wife apply for the marriage certificate since she is still a nepalese citizen.?

@camerapicture- We already have marriage certificate. The question is can i use my nepali citizenship to get the marriage certificate and apply for my wife visa based on marriage? My marriage certificate has nepali citizenship number and just wondering if USCIS accepts that as i am US citizen now. Do i have to use US citizenship to get the marriage certificate or I can use Nepali citizenship? Did I understand your question correctly?

US allows dual citizenship. So for processing in US side (embassy too), it should not matter.
