Since the DHS has agreed to give a winding down period of at least 4 months, even incase of no extension, your TPS will be valid at least until Dec 26. But an extension of at least 9 months is very likely. Last edited: 26-Aug-21 10:45 AM

Well, my friend Sanaklaal, what makes you think I am making things up? All the information I have provided is correct. The Biden administration is negotiating the TPS  lawsuit through remediation right now so 9 months extension is very likely and if not you shall get at least 4 more months. In Case of Reversal If the court reverses the preliminary injunction and that decision is final, the terminations of the TPS designations for Honduras and Nepal will take effect, unless the final court order places other limitations on the terminations. If one or more of the termination decisions can take effect, DHS will allow for an orderly transition period ending the later of: (a) 120 days from the issuance of any appellate mandate to the District Court; or (b) to the extent the government requests the District Court to terminate the stay, 180 days after the District Court terminates the stay. For legal reasons, the 120-day or 180-day transition period will not start automatically if there is a decision reversing the preliminary injunction. USCIS will inform TPS beneficiaries when the transition period will begin. The transition period will provide time for current TPS beneficiaries who do not have another lawful immigration status or authorization to remain in the United States to leave the United States, or they will be subject to removal. It's not news. It's the official status of the TPS lawsuit right now and directly from the USCIS. There is no better authority to tell you what the DHS's current take is and what they are going to do regarding TPS. I recommend doing your reading before questioning every little thing I say.

@Galactus/Independent you may wish it wont happen is a different story but misleading is different one. Either say you dont know or try to give the right info. You are entitled to your opinion but fact is fact. I understand you belong to the coterie of "alternative facts" but at least when sharing info do not try to be venomous. It would be morally shameful for a prez to "end" the program that he has repeatedly advicated for a paths to citizenship. In state of the union you say TPS should get citizenship and trying to end the same program does not sound politically right move. So, the conclusion is the Admin may extend (idk about re-designation which is up in the air) or try with DED but will not end the program. Not at least the one which the previous admin wanted to do and went thru such a politically challanging court case. On the other "kurakani" somebody said Afghanis deserve more than Nepali, it is just an ego speaking. Would you not feel comfortable to live in a society where people like us are around? If anything happens with us, it will be us Nepalis who will be touched by "gofundme" things. So, please remove your ego and support this. You know what I presonally like Indians coming here than people from other countries. At least we go to the same temple, similar food, similar faces at least feel comfortable when ultra-rights were in haali-muhali recently. So moral of the story, support anything that brings us Nepalis together.

Exactly , they were supposed to finalize by aug 19 which did not happen so I guess the only option is extension and re designation for all Nepalese . Lot of organizations have urged senior official to come up with some solid solution for this tps. Whenever there is woman on the top .. there is no such thing called lawsuit.

I’m always supporting Nepal TPS. Galactus statements about TPS is not misleading. Judges and lawyers reached out agreement for extension all TPS holder countries either 9 months or 18 months. Which will announce by first week of September.
