Get a Toyota 4runner or at least rav 4 . Honda highly not recommended . Dont buy small sedans just to save some fuel , once you are in accident your chance of survival in sedans is low. Buy SUV be safe specially if you have family

@logankobaje : thank you for the suggestion. having driven an SUV for near 5 years, I am a bit tired of it. No doubt its best for safety reasons. But, I guess I plan not to drive as much comparatively, hence Sedan. thanks tho!

Toyota Corolla and Honda Accord are very reliable cars! You can't go wrong with Japanese cars.

I found Toyota Prius to be the best . Firstly it has a good gas mileage . I would say 55-50 per gallon . You will never ever get that unless u drive Tesla. Secondly I drove a lot of gas combustible car but I found hybrid to be more powerful and the pickup is solid. Thirdly u will not hear any noise while driving. This car last for more than 500k miles easily . What else do you want ?? This car is little bit expensive even if u prefer to buy it USED. The resale value of Prius is excellent comparing to other cars . For a 100k miles u should be ready to pay at least 13-14 k easily . Less than 50 k it would be around 17-18 k .

I drive a BMW m235i. Very reliable and pumps out a whopping 320hp on stock engine. Puts a smile on my face every time I sit in it.

service outside the dealership and a bmw costs as much as any toyota to service. newer models even need to get serviced less than japanese unless you go performance models.
