They better do it before April 16. DACA is being fortified by DHS means they are protecting them no matter what court decides. Not so much on TPS yet but TPS being renewed for countries like Syria recently.

It will be interesting. Only hope is if Democrats can work with Republicans to pass the bill in exchange for very strong border security. Republicans are in no mood to pass anything without strong border. And in all fairness, border situation is out of control. To be realistic, I don’t have much hope. Need some miracle now.

Senate already got the bill on March 22. Now the bill will go through sub-committees for hearing. ON March 24, the bill was considered by Housing, Community Development, and Insurance. And a committee held a hearing or business meeting about the bill. There are few more steps before Senate votes the bill. If you put on a race between Vote and Snail. Snail might likely win.

We all should understand one clear thing--Unlike in the past when Senate was controlled by Mitch, who never ever allowed any such bills to even register (forget about hearing debates, bipartisan compromise efforts), THIS TIME AT LEAST CAN COME FOR VOTING. Remember if tied together with DACA, not doing anything for DACA cost Republicans the House in the midterm 2018. It is not that easy for Republicans too! They know all these DACA TPS people are already working (nothing like amnesty), they have been living here for a long period of time. So, hope for the best!
