First option, find the A4 size paper ( like the one we had in Nepal). The regular paper size here is different which we buy in store for printing. Then you can print the form from their website. Second option is easier, request a form from Nepalese embassy. Go to their website, there is a word document in Nepali which you print it out, fill up the form of request, then send that with return label to embassy, they will send you the passport form printed on correct paper size. Once you get the form, fill up the application, with money order and photos as described and send the application along with supporting material (old passport and nagrita) to embassy again with return label. Usually takes 1-3 months depending on the load. I renewed mine in 2017 and it took 30 days. Good luck!

Is it true that you have to go DC for passport? I tried to help one of my friend apply for passport and sent the docs to the embassy, but they told her that she has to come to DC. Not sure if it is the case these days. I remember it took 1-2 months for my passport to arrive back in 2016.

You can bring it to local Staples and ask them to print on A4 paper size without hassle. I have advised the same on ROMAN NEPALI.
