Applied Both EAD and AP on May 17th, EAD still pending, AP approved last week.

Do you need TPS EAD for the Validity of Advance Parole? Do they check both documents at Port of Entry?

No they didn’t check anything beside passport & AP. But to be on safe side recommend to carry TPS approval notice with the Federal register for this time at POE.

Last year they didn’t check anything except advance parole and passport. Just officer took me in a room for secondary inspection. I told them I went india to see my family. It was not any hard inquiry or any hassle.

Same here! They looked at my passport and advance parole and took me to secondary inspection room which is a normal procedure as the officer at the counter do not have Paroled stamp and they asked me basic question like how long was the trip, who did you meet and stamped both my ap and passport and let me go :)
