apparantly we need a transit visa if we are even transiting through hongkong going to nepal. I have already booked my tickets months ago so i cannot cancel it. My flight is through united. Any info on how to obtain this visa will be helpful. What are the fees? We only have one hour transit in hongkong so it will be very hectic if i dont get this before my travel.

thanks for info. I am going to HKG on united and from HKG to KTM using cathy. on flight back, its Cathy upto HKG and then HKG to US using united. I will need visa on one of the leg. any agents you recommend who process hong kong visa?

You need a transit visa if you are flying back to US via Hong Kong by United. You have to apply for the transit visa at Chinese Embassy, DC in person. I don’t think that you will find any agent to help you with that. The process is simple so check the Chinese Embassy website.
