i think i'm in trouble now..so 2 of us decided to go as far as we could in us canada border..literally nobody stopped us anywhere n the road looked usual, my phone was dead for some reason n was in charge.. so we decided to drive until we were permitted.. n then we realized that we are in highway 407 where we were charged tolls, from buffalo we were in ontario... not only different state but different country.. i didn't know that it was that easy.. now real problem is that both of us don't have valid visa not even passport with us .. all we have is driving licence, insurance paper atm card n so on.. but of us have status but expired visa ...we know it.. they will not allow us.. we are middle of nowhere....how to handle the situation ??

I think he entered grand island paying the toll and thought entered Canada. You can not enter Canada without passing through the Canadian immigration checkpoint. Those immigration checkpoints are clearly visible on the google satellite map.

Agreed that grand island can be confusing but he mentioned 407 ETR so. I understand you can take wrong exit and can end up in Canada, happens a lot but every border crossing has Canada custom/immigration where they send you back to US side without proper document. Last edited: 29-Apr-19 05:10 PM
