By RENAE REINTS February 11, 2019 Immigrants from Honduras and Nepal filed a class action lawsuit against the United States government Monday, alleging that the Trump administration’s decision to end the temporary protected status for these immigrants was “motivated by racial animus.” The temporary protected status program allows individuals from certain countries to legally live and work in the U.S. if they are not safe in their own country due to armed conflict, natural disaster, or other such circumstances. The Trump administration has moved to end this designation for many countries, arguing conditions have improved. A judge blocked the administration’s efforts to end this program for the 300,000 people from El Salvador, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Sudan currently living in the U.S. under TPS, but the October decision left out more than 100,000 immigrants from Honduras and Nepal. Many of these people came to the U.S. at a young age and have established lives. “TPS holders from Nepal and Honduras have over 50,000 U.S.-citizen children,” states the lawsuit. “These children, many of whom are school-aged, face an impossible choice between leaving the only home they have ever known and growing up without one or both of their parents.” The suit—which names Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen, former deputy secretary Elaine Duke, the Department of Homeland Security, and the U.S. government as defendants—says the Trump administration “reviewed TPS designations with the goal of removing non-white, non-European immigrants from the United States.” “DHS was directly influenced by the White House and its racist immigration policies, and it made decisions regarding TPS terminations on that unlawful basis,” it continues. The suit was filed by six immigrants and two of their American-born children in federal court in San Francisco, the Associated Press reports. Honduras was designated for TPS in 1999 following a devastating hurricane, and under the Trump administration, the DHS set the program to expire in January 2020. The negative response from fellow Nepalese here blows my mind. When you start argument about being fair or not, you should know that nothing is fair or right, those with right ability at right time just make it righteous. The very fact that you have food in your table but millions of children in the world stay hungry is very unfair, those children work equally hard or even more than you, but they were just born under unfortunate circumstances. Should we make it fair by throwing you and your kids in the middle of desert? Or you think you were smarter than others that you deserved better life? Well ,guess what, if you look around there are plenty of people who can make you look dumb. Is it fair that some guy from village just wins DV and gets citizenship while there are people struggling here with perfect history? You should not point fingers at someone just because you were lucky , because when you do so, there are luckier ones, who will make you feel similar if not worse.Everyone has right for better life , just like you. Nippalis Best option- If Trump is racist towards Nepal, Ban all Americans from visiting Nepal, buying Nepal handicrafts, using Nepal as a tool to enlightenment and rejuvenate themselves, using Sherpa and Himalayan name to promote their products and most importantly climbing Mount Everest. Tit for tat ! Also, sue all the white people for learning buddhism and meditation from Nepal. They use Nepal and Nepal’s diverse culture for their betterment and are Racists towards Nepal calling it Nipple. It is right thing to do. So many Nepalese who does not have other means to be legal in this vast country get a chance . I have talk to many people from the other countries and they always support their people to come here and stay here but it's always Nepalese who are against Nepalese people who wants to do something here and stay , it's really sad that some Nepalese think it's better when they go back to Nepal .some said Nepalese misuses tps . What is there to misuse it is an opportunity given to anyone whose country went thorough hard time and they are citizen of that country. Help each other it help nepal too . Even though Temporary let's fight for it as long as we can to help our Nepalese to stay here .

I support TPS and I don’t support TPS too because myself being a deshbhakta I want all Nepalese to share humanity and show the world what we are known for our hostility, hospitality and unity.
