Here is a scenario: 1. You live in a country that does not recognize dual citizenship. 2. You acquire citizenship of that country. By its law, you are required to renounce your Nepalese citizenship. 3. You go to the Nepalese embassy, and fill out the renunciation form. You also surender your Nepalese citizenship certificate for good. 4. ** this is my main question** Do you also need to surrender your Nepalese passport at that time for good? Or do they just stamp your Nepalese passport and make it invalid (something like, "cancelled w/o prejudice") ?
