KATHMANDU — The US President Donald Trump has shocked the world by his remark about few African nations and Nepal as the shithole countries. Yes, he is right, because Nepal is poor. And Nepal was a part of the Temporary Protected Status due to the 2015 earthquake. At a time when the US Embassy in Nepal recently celebrated its 70 years in Nepal and the United States offering $500 million to Nepal, it is no surprise that Nepal is among Trump’s shithole countries in 2018. According to The Washington Post, Trump said, “Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” The Washington Post said that Trump was referring to Haiti, El Salvador, other African countries and Nepal too. Moreover, Nepal should be certainly on the list of shithole countries as Nepalis haven’t contributed much to the United States. Oh, and we don’t have oil resources like the Middle East! Trump also made it clear that he wants people from Norway. Trevor Noah couldn’t but make a show out of it. Umm nepal, haiti and pretty much most of the country he said are shitzhole country. Have you smelled the stank that comes out the bathroom from the international airport? the dirty air, water, the big pile of trash along the street. People have been coming to here before the civil war and the earthquake. If nepal and all those country were such a nice country....why come here?

We Nepalis are so weak. We abandon our own motherland so easily just to get a better life. Americans would have never done that if America were in the situation where Nepal is right now. That's how different we Nepalis are from most of the White people.

@dhasuka: I am pretty sure America would do same in our situation. As matter of fact America was founded by people who left their homeland mostly Europeans to escape from land and job shortages, rising taxes, and tyranny during 1800s. Many came to the U. S. because it was perceived as the land of economic opportunity and still going on. My friend White people are more opportunist that we are, if you look into the history you would know they have taken from wherever they can taking everything from the country they ruled, eg India, Africa, etc. We are not weak but we a re strong to come here leaving our comfort zone and make our presence .
