Hi, I have asylum case pending filed from NY. I came as F1 student but was out of staus for couples of year before I file asylum. My lawyer already mentioned that my case has very slim chance to get approved and asked to look for alternatives. I never had TPS filed before and I was really expecting to get late initial filing this time but my bad luck that TPS getting terminated next year. I got married last year and my spouse has her employment based AOS filed already that time. Now she is waiting for interview but I would like to know if there is any chance for me to file as a dependent and get any legal status before/after her AOS approval? Does anyone has similar case or can advise any other possible ways to get back to legal status?
