Hello, I graduated with Masters in Engineering but currently working through consulting firm as a QA Analayst. I got a RFE for my H1 application stating that the Job I am working is not really related to my major since my degree was in civil. What can I do in this situtaion? I am trying to look for job posting for QA Analyst jobs which has engineering degree as a requirement so that I can send that to the USCIS... yesto job posting kasari khojne thaha hola kasailai? ki aru better idea cha?

You think this is Nepal where you can publish fake ads in a newspaper? Why the heck did you major in civil to begin with when you have no plans to have a career in that field?

I am sorry to hear your situation. I would suggest you to do an expert opinion. Please talk to company's lawyer, they would know what i mean. If you have taken any computer classes in your bachelors or masters, expert ( usually they are computer subject professor ) can evaluation and see if that's sufficient for the job that you applied with (for H1-B).Also, if you have got any QA tools related certificate that can also help. I have seen these types of RFE being approved with expert evaluation. I am not sure any-other way to prove. Hope you get through this.

@padmaan, I never implied to posting fake ads... stop being a hypocrite.. @Theone, thanks for your valuable suggestion, I will definitely talk to the company lawyer about it. My lawyer had told me to look for job postings similar to my title with a Civil engineering or engineering degree, and out of thousands job postings, it is pretty tough to filter it out. That's why I was looking for job search website where you can use filters like Jobtitle and Major Degree.
