I am wondering if this policy change is for new applications or is it just for new I-485 application beginning October 1st.

Yeah, just a heads up to people who are consulting though...I'm sure USCIS will do their best to scrutinize every aspect of your employment.

Satrianic , Since it doesn't mention for new applicants or old, I believe it would be for everyone at least for applicants not approved before October.
