You can directly get the money deposited in the bank account in Nepal. If you have account in Everest Bank in Nepal, it gets deposited instantly. To other banks, it gets in about 3-4 days to get the money deposited. Alternatively, you can receive the money in any of their authorized locations back in nepal as well, like, typical western union way of receiving money.. I send from xoom usually and I am pretty satisfied with the service.

tito-satya, I think thamelremit is better. It deposits the money directly into multiple banks not just everest bank. Plus, it's exchange rate is way better. For example today xoom $1=103.02, thamelremit 103.40. Plus it doesn't have any fee. Plus sometime you get 15 paisa coupons per dollar.

Yup, heard about thamelremit. But I feel comfortable with xoom because it is paypal's company. Kinda feel safe that my money will 100% reach to the destination. I have used xoom several times with no hassle at all.
