Be sure to research prior to sending all your important docs to advertisers like the original poster. @magorkhe1 - I understand your point, but I don't necessarily agree with your statement. How does one know this advertise is NOT a scam? The only information available to readers is their email information. There is no basis which proves this poster has credentials to support their profession and neither does an email address. In this day & age, information is valuable and security of that information is constantly at risk. One should NOT simply post/advertise excluding pertinent information about their background and their specialty. I wouldn't necessarily call her a fraud or a scammer. But she needs to be more open and transparent. If she has some kind of certification like EA, CPA, Certified TAX Professional, etc, she needs to put that up front with her PTIN #, full name and address of her business. Only then I would trust her with my perosonally identifiable Information (PII). Otherwise, she can use my information to file the tax and get the refund in her account or get the refund mailed to her address. Or she (who knows maybe he) could be phishing for information to get some financial benefits. P.S As the poster is claiming to federally licensed tax preparer, he/she must be Enrolled Agent (EA) to make such a claim,  otherwise it is unlawful to present one as such. http://www.naea.org/taxpayers/...
