Does this Halt New Asylum Applications
Heard Mr Trump halted entire refugee program for 4 months, does this mean someone seeking asylum would have to wait 4 more months to begin the process? or are refugee and asylum two different topics?

It looks like no new refugees for now until things are sorted out. ninety days could (it seems even more so) extend further.

Political asylum is the process for refugees to come to another country.

No its not going to effect asylum case within US. Refugee and asylee are 2 different thing in here.
