A cultural practice like this continues unabated in an elite-declared Hindu country that also claims Buddha is a native son. Talk about an overbearing double standard. Oh yes, Nepal does have a glorious past with a history of the Sati practice, defeated cowards running up into the hills across the Gangetic plains for cover, power-grabs via a series of deceitful usurpations, untouchability, just to name a few. This news is showing up in all weird skripts representing different languages around the world. The way I know it is about this incident is because they attach a picture of a cow-shed-like structure on the news page and the keyword 'Nepal' appears prominently in the headline or on the first paragraph.  Shame on all of us for failing to do anything about it.
