Sajha Ma, If they are referring to IT jobs then I agree yes, you can do it from home. Once company has a confidence in you.. they can approve remote work. Once you have approval, through VPN connection you can work from anywhere. Think this way.. to work in IT jobs you need internet to connect to company networks. As long as you have good internet connection, you can connect from anywhere whether from your home office or office location or any Country. My company has many remote teams in India and Australia working together for a project. They are not physically here but we all work on same time. Some company might give you remote access as soon as you join in with Job deskription. But in my case, It took me 1 year to build confidence on them and to approve for a remote access. Once approved, I been working from home for last three years. Only time I go to office location is when Team wants to do face to face meetings or gathering.. rest of the time I connect through internet and join in phone and video conferencing through WebEx and different tools available in company networks. I advise students who are using 1040 NR EZ to use 1040 NR and Itemize, Tax software may not give you this option. It will lower tax liability and will give you some extra refund.
