Just show up at the border, and say your passport just got lost. Go through the peace bridge (US-Canada bridge). They either have to charge you (if you don't have legal status) or let you in.

Instagram, Enhanced Drivers License is what you need to reenter the US or cross over via Land or Sea/Water. You can't return back with an ordinary DL.
