I have heard a lot about fake IT professionals with fake resumes which are prepared by some India and Pakistan origin people in United States. From those consultancies, they make fake resume and start to do marketing for their candidate. In return they earn more than 40 percent of their handsome salary. The so called employees/candidates are not sure how long they can go into the company job as long as their performance is concerned; they just lie and pretend to know everything of their duties and responsibilities. Basically, they have to sell the IT product and they have to demonstrate in majority of cases--if they do well in this, their contract is extended for another term and if not they come home after a month or a three month. Recently, I met a Nepali guy who did not even have a Bachelors degree and he was hired by a Florida based company for six month and after that he was fired. That Nepali guy told me that his consultancy made the resume of system software and the trainings of so many up to date applications which he himself never had heard. Work experience of 8 years and blah blah blah....I was so shocked and surprised to learn this. Later I knew there are so many Nepalis who are working under such malpractice of fake degree and credentials. United States system treats everybody as a true and honest but once it discovers fakeness and fraudulence, the system punishes at any cost. So my friends please be careful and think about future. Please do not fake your resumes being influenced by those consultancies and being influenced by momentary temptation. I want thoughts and inputs from you guys.

Thanks all for such a thought provoking inputs, especially the philosophical ones. For those of you who do not have experience on lying on serious matter, please do not dare to fake resume. This could have some fatal circumstances in your career. Once we fake and once we present the false thing, our ground becomes weaker and there is a chance of loosing confidence and we will become scared every single day if we get caught. To be fearless, we need to have the simplicity of being true.

Do right and wrong exist? What you believe is right, may be wrong for other, and vice versa? Everybody tells at least one lie everyday, should we punish everybody? should we jail everybody? If you had a fake resume for a job in medical field like doctor or nurse, where the life of other person could be in danger, I can understand that you will even go to jail. But, fake resume for an IT guy does not cause harm to anybody or anything. The worst case scenario is that they do not know what to work, and the project might be delayed a little. The project manager will be able to figure out underperforming people, and kick them out, if they want to. End of the day, all it matters is whether you can accomplish the task that is assigned to you. If you can, you deserve the job, otherwise you will lose it. Remember, only the strongest will survive.

We all know what is wrong and what is right. But we are no saints, mind you. Faking is wrong, but this begs a question of how much? How much of a fake are you going fake? There is moral dilemma that is going to chain you down thinking, its universally wrong to to fake a resume. And there is practical dilemma that might make one think, someday you will be caught. Personally speaking i dont care how you get the job if you can talk the talk. Its survival of the fittest and if you got big cojones to stand up regardless of what you have or dont have, kudos to you. You could exaggerate on your resume and get a job if you are well-spoken and good at interviews. And you could have legit resume and be bad at interviews therefore not get a job. Bottom line is its not my business however you get your job.
