First thing you should do is , finish the school.

@duku_lanthak, If you want to continue school just to save your status then it is totally not necessary. They will never ask about your status. The only thing that matters during I-485 application is, did you enter USA legally or not, which of course you did. If you are paying out of state fee, which might be pretty expensive then you should work full time right now, and continue school after you get your GC, so you can pay in-state fee. Also, If you can prove that your income is lower than $28000 a year than you can even apply for FAFSA.

If your spouse is a Citizen here, it don't even matter if you are illegal. like Mungu said, if you are done with school then don't worry. If you still working towards the degree then I would suggest finishing the school first.

If its a paper marriage, then its a diff story. U rather stay in status.

Paper or real marriage : what is your plan quitting college. Tell your plans and we will suggest accordingly . I admire this gentleman I knew : any body seek advise : he says I have no specific plan for you because I am not your father and I do not know you well. You come with plans and I will suggest which one is better and iwhat are the pros and cons. How to minimize cons. Bottom line is what is your plan ?
