New way to scam you: giving you rebate or refund

You will be receiving call and they will offer you refund money which needs to go to your saving or checking account. Once you provide checking account : instead of receiving money your bank will gone. How clever are these scammers : phone does not go though if you call back from different phone other than the phone you received the call.

Did my free tax filing through 1040.com. The process was quite easy and I already have my refund deposited. Life is good !

Most tax software give you fed tax filing free and charge for state. I have been using taxact.com for a while and pretty happy with it though it charges 14.99 for state. My posting to alert : do not get scammed because of getting refund will end up ripped off .
