I have not used online mortgage companies, but I would try local credit union. They usually have competitive rate and sometime offers no fee/points financing.

Whatever you do, don't use your phone number and essential email address. You will be flooded with calls/emails about mortgages. Lending tree wasn't bad, it did expose us to more options that we wouldn't have thought about. But be weary of the brokers, most of the times it's better to deal directly with a bank - but sometimes the brokers bring in a good deal as long as you do a thorough check on broker's history.

I have not refinanced on lendingtree but i have lent money to others on Lendingtree. As someone suggested above try credit union nearby you.. also try online.. go for the one with the best rate and terms...
