you really don't need a lawyer, you can follow sajha post, I have seen step by step process, if you are in Dallas TX go to azar &azar, very good reviews

It depends on where you are located? Always try to localize service for immigration matters, sometimes you need to do F2F consulting for better understanding, great time saver.
