Got letter for TPS biometric appointment in next 2 weeks (applied on Dec 21). Unfortunately the USCIS designated ASC center is out of state about 300 miles from where I am (in state ASC is about the same distance as OOS) and I just don't feel ready to travel that far. I wasn't really sure about the TPS thing to begin with, but applied anyhow as probably most of us did. Now thinking of either abandoning or requesting a reschedule at the farthest date possible. Wondering if I am eligible for biometric fee refund if I abandon or withdraw my case. If not, what is the possible farthest date in future that I can request the reschedule or is it going to be determined by USCIS? Are multiple reschedule possible and what is the cost associated with each reschedule? Will really appreciate all inputs.

Why dont you do a walk in to a local uscis office. Some locations allow walkins.

Maxpayne, There is only one USCIS field office in my state which is about the same distance as the out of state office where I am scheduled for biometric. Also, the instate field office doesn't serve the county I currently live in (strange). That's what I get for living in a bible thumping s***thole state. So I am just trying to see if I can get either part of my TPS application fee refunded (biometric part) or reschedule it in very far future (preferably >3 months).

No way to have your money back ,But thing you can do is call USCIS and explain your problem they can reschedule to you any other day in any nearest location. Good luck.
