Sajha Friends Need help, Do you all know any better insurance after the first accident, my premium is high every time they renew my policy ,they keep saying that surcharging such and such vehicles for the accident, not getting good drivers discount or anything, although I have my family members and couple of cars added to my policy and first in years I claim this accident, my due date is first week of each month . I want to leave State farm insurance so bad because they are not nice at all...

No matter whichever insurance you switch, they will find out about your accident and the same premium hike story continues.. So better stick with statefarm.

Ya its tough. Insurance is a big scam. One thing you can do is go to insurance broker and see if they can get a quote from other companies. Another thing you can do is put the insurance in your spouse name or parents name and add your self as additional driver. If you are in IT, you can put yourself as working from home, so you have 0 mile to drive to work. Sorry about the whole thing. Insurance is a headache in US. I never had any wreck since I got my driving license and I still pay quite high compare to lot of other people. I have no clue why.

I've mentioned earlier on similar threads that your "resident zip code" plays a big role on your insurance premium. If I go and live in a upscale neighbor, I can get a quote of $200 less for the same car.. If I go and live in a Gheto neighbor, of course, my insurance goes up.. Insurance company looks for vandalism reports using zip code and base on higher risk zip code area your premium goes up. If you live in a house, goes down, and if you live in a multi complex apartment, it goes little up...again risk factor.. I have Progressive Insurance..without no rental, no emergency road services, ..bla bla.. for that I have AAA with basic yearly membership. ...
