Bhutan GDP: 1.82B USD Nepal GDP: 19.64B USD. Yes, 10 times bigger than Bhutan. I think Bhutan has about twice the installed capacity (power generation), which sure is a matter of shame for a larger country, but their generation/transmission is much controlled by India which is its first customer, even before the people of Bhutan. I'd rather have sovereign control of my generation, even if it is smaller in size.

Nirman : You should not count chicken before it hatches.  kiddo: I wish we will not be treated as Bhutan but one of the project was handled by India (Hydro project ) the height of the Dam should be 35 meter but it is over 38 meter. Now you can imagine how we will be treated.   How much of it from remittance ( Nepal )?  India is building Dams close to border, in future  all our fertile Tarai’s land will be full of water in Mansoon.  Last edited: 24-Jul-15 12:50 PM
